The hotel is Beautiful! It is secluded and not directly on the beach but the trolley and transportation to the beach is easy and convenient and the beach is private and beautiful. Food at the hotel is excellent at all the restaurants, it is nice that many of the restaurants are exclusive for the adults only guest. Spa service is exceptional! Rosa the receptionist is so accommodating and the massage therapists are wonderful Especially Laura and Monserrat

Fantastic Adults Only Resort

We took our honeymoon there in 2016 and the resort was fantastic. This is one hotel among four and the all-inclusive is for all four. The staff was great, food was great, and the whole experience was fantastic!

Nice Hotel, too far from the beach.

Pros: -The cleanliness, friendly staff. - Do a bike tour with Cristina and bring swimwear. - Excursion with Gus (Tulum Xtreme) was the highlight.
Cons: -Entertainment needs improvement, it was a bit boring for us. - needs more things to do in the resort
Location: Far from the beach, there is nothing to do nearby except eat, drink, swim in 4ft deep pools. there is a nightclub in La Hacienda, it was average.
First of all, I traveled with my boyfriend for 4 nights. The Hotel is clean and hotel staff is very friendly and attentive. Food was average. There are only 4 restaurants- 2 a la carte (which req'd reservations and dress code), 1 buffet and 1 snack bar. Drinks were average. This resort is the farthest from the beach. So if you are looking to be walking distance to the beach- DO NOT BOOK THIS RESORT ! Instead, look into booking in Akumal, there are literally right in front of the beach. In order to get to the beach, we had to take a trolley that picked up people in the main lobby. The time it took from Sian Kaan to the beach was a total of 12 minutes-- this is if the driver made quick stops at the other Bahia Principe resorts. Sian Kaan was considered "VIP" out of all the other sister resorts, so we could visit other hotels. Below is a list of pro's, con's and tips. Pros: - clean hotel, friendly staff - can visit other resorts Cons: - This hotel is in the dead center of the JUNGLE ! (lots and lots of bugs) - Too quiet for younger crowds-- If you are a person that is looking for peace and tranquility and calmness, this hotel is for you. - too fancy/formal - Food becomes repetitive - There is no gym in this hotel Tips/Suggestions: - Bring Deep Woods bug spray - Lock your luggage when you are not in your room ( I had one of my favorite shirts stolen the last day I was there :'( - MUST book excursion. - Bring a flashlight to walk to your room, it can be dark at night time.

Very enjoyable stay at the Bahia Principe!

Pros: Relatively quiet due to the absence of young teens and children. Great tropical setting and extremely accommodating, friendly staff!
Cons: Maybe a seafood restaurant on site?
Location: The golf course was directly across the street. Many restaurants, beaches and onsite shopping only a short shuttle away! Never over crowded.
Check-in was simple and quick. Very friendly staff! Open atmosphere with a short pleasant walk to pools, music venues and restaurants. Shuttles to other various facilities within the resort were available immediately outside the front door with very friendly and knowledgeable drivers, always willing to offer directions and suggestions. A small gratutity went a long way. Overall, a very enjoyable stay at the Bahia Principe! Excellent, overall value! Highly recommended.

Yoga, Golf, Beach, Food and Great Service

We have stayed at Bahia(Coba) twice before. This is the first time at Sian Ka'an. Great time. Adults only at the hotel and beach area are the only way to go. The buffet at Sian Ka’an is the best of all the buffets. The service is top notch. We are planning our next trip. We will go back. Yoga for my wife at the Wellness Center and golf for me at the Riviera Maya Golf Club. Sitting by the waters. What else can I say. Love it.

Very nice all hotel, food, and amenities.

Stayed here for 8 days recently. First, the staff is friendly and the service good. The rooms are good, not the best I've ever had but definitely acceptable and the amenities plenty. Sian Ka'an has the best buffet of the 4 hotels on the property. As a guest of the Sian Ka'an or as a Privelege Club member you get access to all the other properties amenities as well but vice versa. This property is not on the beach but only about a 10 minute tram ride away and is adults only, kids would get bored at this property. However their Akumal, Tulum, and Coba properties are great for families and kids. We got the Jr. Suite Supreme on the ground floor with a hot tub we never used but the room is larger than the regular. The rooms are good, not the best I've ever had but more than sufficient. They keep the fridge refilled every day with 2 beers, 3 small liquors, 2 cokes, 1 sprite, 1 fanta, 2 large bottles of water. They also include complimentary tea and coffee in the room, Twinings and local coffee + decaf. The grounds are very nice with two pools and two restaurants, and a 24 hours snack bar that serves a small menu of hot food all day and night. The beach is just 10 minutes by tram, they have many that stop in front of the hotel lobby going to the beach or other hotels all day and night. From 6AM until 2AM each day. They have shows at the other hotels every night so one won't get bored, there's kiddie pools, slides, and large pools at Tulum and Akumal, and of course the beach. There's also a Scuba shop at the beach which is great to book snorkeling and diving tours. We highly recommend trying the Cenote Dos Ojos trip if you can, it is beautiful. All the tour buses also stop at the hotel lobbies so they are easy to book and use. We recommend using Xichen Tours for Chichen Itza and Coba, we took the deluxe tour and all the food, drinks, beer, etc was included.  We tried the buffet at Coba and it doesn't compare to Sian Ka'an. We ate at the Maiko, Alux (both on Sian Ka'an) and a seafood place on Tulum and Don Pablo. We really like all of them, Maiko, Alux, and Don Pablo being very good. We like the fact that the hotel is just past Akumal Bay and close to Tulum, Xelha, Tulum Ruins, and away from Cancun and Playa del Carmen which are crowded and busy large cities. It's about 1.5 hours away from Cancun but we loved it. Take mosquito spray and sunscreen! We highly recommend checking out Xelha and Tulum Ruins which are close by and easy to go to by taxi. It should only be $100Pesos to get to Xelha and back. $200Pesos to get to Tulum by cab, (that's $20US essentially). If you walk off the property you can find cheaper cabs and the collectivo mini buses for cheap. The cab drivers are a bit of extortionists, they wanted $15 bucks to get back from Xelha but we just walked away and they gave us the same price it was to get there $100pesos which is more than fair for a 5 minute trip.

Wonderful and clean resort

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, clean
I stayed at the GBP Sian Kaan in November of 2012 for 8 days. It's a good ~1hr drive from Cancun International Airport. The resort grounds were beautiful, and check-in went very smoothly, even though we arrived a little before their standard check-in time. Our bags were delivered to our rooms quickly and without incident. The rooms are more like suites, compared to many of the places I've been. The pictures of the resort show them with a room divider to make a separate living room/bedroom, but the divider in our room was disabled (nailed). I stayed in a garden-view room, and the terrace was nice, as was the jacuzzi. The room was large, clean, with a comfortable bed, well laid out bathroom (no tub), nice sitting area and decent mini bar. It was cleaned regularly, and a closet safe was supplied for valuable. The resort grounds were well maintained and the pools were easy to access and very clean. Sian Kaan is not on the beach, but more about that later. Two pools had a pool bar located near them, with a nice selection of drinks. The main buffet was a very short walk from our rooms (and wouldn't have been very much for the farthest rooms either). The food was very good, and I wouldn't have minded having all of my meals there. There is also a lounge, with wifi and a bar near the shuttle area. ALL the service staff were very nice, and everything was well attended to. No one asked for, or expected tips, but they were very appreciative of when they got them and I would recommend being generous. Food was excellent. As I mentioned, the main buffet was delicious. There are also two a la carte restuarants on site, as well as several a la cartes available at the sister resorts. We tried 7 a la cartes, so I won't get into specifics, but for the most part they were very good. My personal preferences had me like some more than others, but food was served in a timely manner, was all well cooked and of good quality. I should mention two special things about Sian Kaan. First, unlike other resorts, you get unlimited a la cartes. Not just 2 or 3 per stay like I've seen listed at many other places. Second, since Sian Kaan is adults only, Sian Kaan guests can use the facilities and restaurants at any of her sister resorts, but no other guests can visit Sian Kaan. While Sian Kaan is not on the beach, it is easy to get to one. Shuttles between the resorts run very frequently, so getting to the beach only takes a few minutes. The longest I had to wait for a shuttle was probably about 20 minutes or so, but on average, it took about 5 minutes to find one to take you were you wanted to go. The shuttle ride itself was only about 5-7 minutes depending on where you were going. The beach is immaculate. Resort staff are on hand constantly removing seaweed. I never saw any salesmen accosting people, which I've heard is a problem at some resorts. Anyone who is interested in a little wave action should be warned that there are artificial breakwaters along the entire beach so the swimming area is almost perfectly calm, and devoid of tropical fish and marine life. Beach bars are easy to locate, and the Sian Kaan area has beach waiters. There is a spa on site which has some free services for Sian Kaan members. Don't go there. I love that place and don't want anyone else to find out about it. Pretend you didn't just read that. I can't really comment on the area outside the resort since I didn't do much aside from a trip to Akumal Bay (5 minutes away). But for the cost of it, this resort is top notch. Definitely going again.
