Unfortunately, this trip was very stressful for us! Not only that, but your company simply ripped us off and deceived our family! Initially, when we bought this hotel through Expedia, we booked a room for a week through your website and indicated the number of people who would be participating in this trip: two adults, my 46-year-old wife, my 74-year-old mother-in-law, and my youngest son, seven years old! We clearly indicated that it was two adults and one child! And this was indicated on the receipt. But after my family arrived directly at the hotel, they were unable to check in because hotel representatives said that the receipt indicated one infant and two adults. My wife presented the original receipt, which indicated that we had paid in full for this trip for two adults and one child! But hotel representatives told us that Expedia provided them with different information and that we had to pay an additional $500! The hotel representative insisted and said that they could not help us in any way, we should contact Expedia directly. We immediately called Expedia back, and after our conversation with their representative, he told us that at the moment we cannot correct this error and we must pay an additional $500. After this amount is paid, we must send them all the receipts confirming this payment in the amount of $500 by email, and then they will refund us the money! This was confirmed directly by the Expedia representative!!

We were at this resort for our honeymoon 15 years ago. This time around we came with low expectations. The service, food, main pool area and specifically the kids pool exceeded our expectations. Where the resort lacks is night entertainment. The shows start at 930 pm and just don’t live up to the expectations. I think they can do better. Also the MJ show. The backup dancers did a better job than the Michael himself. It was unfortunate. The best, ABSOLUTE BEST SHOW was the IL DIVO!!!!!! Absolutely breathtaking. So incredibly talented. Need more talent like that. I LOVED them. Their voices. I didn’t want the show to end. We had our breakfast and lunch at the Hacienda. My favorite. Exceptional quality food. Veggies and fresh grilled fish and chicken. Absolutely our favorite. Those cooks are incredible. We enjoyed every meal there. A special shoutout and a huge THANK YOU for EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE goes to MAURICIO GOMEZ and BALSARIO at Mirador. Also RUBEN at RODIZIO. These individuals are pure perfection. And what you would expect an exceptional customer service to be. So thank you for taking care of our family. The resort is very clean. The rooms are clean. Although, one thing they didn’t have was face towels. So strange - but out of 5 days - I was only able to get face towels once. Overall, we were very happy with the quality. Everyone there works hard. We always tip for great service. Wish others would do same. We had an amazing time!!!! Excited to go back again!!

Everything was amazing Barcelo Team! My only recommendation would be employing a tractor operating beach raking system to soften sand and clean and filtrate beach areas. Florida coastlines implement this kind of system and it works quite well. I love this resort and area! Gracias Mucho!

Huge territory. We were traveling with a 3 year old, and our room was far from everything. So my advice if you don’t know where exactly your room is , bring a stroller or scooter. Even for us was too much walking. Food was good , stuff was great.

Our room was not restocked daily and it was with different alcohol when it was restocked and the snacks never got restocked. our friends traveling with us received a fruit plate and we never did. We have been before and this time the place seemed less nice the food was the same in all the restaurants we could not book any nicer restaurants for 7 days because they would only let us do two at a time and we has a large party. The dolphin enclosure looks awful.

We love this place. Great for kids as there’s no big waves in the ocean, nice to just swim and snorkel, and there is easy access to shops, market, mini golf, water parks, and more. Clean rooms, great food, no one got sick. The only thing I would like that is missing is a snack shack close to the ocean or pool. The hotel is expansive so bring comfy shoes and sandals!

I travelled as a single and got Palace Premium pool view suite. I got there before check in and it was raining. I had no where to go and was travel tired. Other than that the trip was great. No problems booking a la carte for a single. Staff English is hit and miss. Great booze at the adults only pool… I rented a cabana to stay in the shade… worth the $23 imho. Bed was great, room was cool and comfy. The pool is starting to show its age but it’s still good overall.

The staff were great. The activies staff really made for fun times by the pool. My kids really connected with Antonio and Jonatan, and the staff remembered the kids which was great. The evening shows were fun and enjoyable. The room was huge we booked a Junior Suite and there was a ton of space. The downside was the cleaning a bit the fridge was not re stocked and the cleaning stuff was sprayed all over our stuff.
