Great view, but too much noise from the outside. The entertainment is not of my choice, low taste of music and very loud. Also the hotel is too expensive $611/day (no kidding). There is no chance that I visit there again

The place itself is absolutely beautiful, drinks are plentiful and the amenities are great! There is always something to do. Most of the staff were proficient at their jobs, which is fine. Not a lot of smiles being thrown out, but that's just a bonus I guess. The pool is beautiful, but quite dirty. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is always cleaning something which is nice. The maids are horrible! They stole $20 from a zipped closed medical bag on the counter in our room and didn't replenish anything in the room except towels the entire 8 nights we were there (despite tipping well and asking for items we needed) I did not enjoy any of the food, but my friend didn't mind it, so I will give it a 3.5/10 All in all, it was a fun trip with a big damper due to the theft. I don't think I would go back to this resort ever.

Since 2021, we've been vacationing in Barceló every October. We loved the resort, and each year we brought more and more of our friends. But I think 2025 was our last. The service at the resort has deteriorated significantly: the safes and refrigerators in the rooms did’t work, and the balcony doors didn’t close. Calling the service desk is useless; they promise to come to fix it, but never did. The resort did not have the insect control they used to, and we were covered in bites. There were tons of critters in the rooms, on the balconies, and in the hot tub.

This is third time I visit this facility, this is what I saw so far this time: A decrease in facility conveniences: Buffet closing at 6:00 pm. This was a major inconvenience having to go to other restaurants at other hotels by walking or having to take a bus to Dine. The exclusion of food at the specialty restaurants. The variety of food was not good, food did not look fresh at the Buffet (sometimes we will find some food still frozen from previous day) We went to rent or use aquatic attractions (never had the chance to, the staff was either at lunch, or they say that the weather conditions weren’t great with no wind and no cloud in the sky) Bartenders hiding premium alcohol behind the bar (very upsetting and did not feel like the money was well spent on premium level) Lack of personnel at the pool bar (there was always the same bartender the whole day having to attend dozens of customers delaying the service and quality of time. AC stopped working first day and they have it fixed at 21 C which after a long day under the sun and being in a tropical weather we found it very high, we felt hit at in the room and sweating in the mornings. Last but not least: Promoting vacations in dictatorship regime countries such as Cuba were people are dying because of the lack of responsibility of the government that lucre with tourist money to oppress their people, and the hotels, conditions, service is BAD Overall not very happy with the experience, this is last time I visit Barceló
