The outside of the building is cute, the room was big and inviting, and the pool/hot tub was clean. The pillows were kinda flat and lumpy, and the beds were squeaky which sucks with fidgety kids. The breakfast room and front lobby furniture were all deeply stained.

With the amount of people staying at the hotel, it would have been nice to have either the foyer stairs to go up the third floor or another elevator as the elevators were quite crowded with all the traffic from the pool etc.

We stayed in 2 different 2 bed Queen Suite rooms; which also happened to end up being next door to one another. One at the beginning of our trip, and one at the end. Overall I felt the property was a bit tired and dated on the decor front. As you came in to the Suite, the first lounge section with the settee and bathroom off of it, was quite dark and a bit depressing to be honest. It was a lot brighter once you walked through to the bedroom part though, as you had the windows. The bedroom carpets were well worn and the second room’s carpet had stains. The first room had a wall mounted hair dryer, but the second room had open screw holes where one would have been. A hairdryer was however provided in a bag on the side. The second room also had a large chip in the base of the bath and the stainless steel sink plug mechanism was missing, although a small rubber plug was provided. The second bedroom also had long pieces of trim hanging down on the outside of the window, and the linen on the beds in the second room was clean but very, very creased. As though it had been dried in a tight ball. We were in the first room for 5 nights at the beginning of our trip, but only one night in the second room at the end of our trip, once we returned to Calgary. Hopefully this didn’t have an affect on the room we were given. The Staff however were excellent. Especially the ladies who provided the breakfasts. They were polite, helpful, and very hard working. Overall our stay was ok,

I emailed the hotel three days before our arrival to request basic essentials like enough pillows, towels, and toiletries for five people, but never received a reply. At check-in, I mentioned this to the staff member, who laughed and said the email went to general management, which I didn’t find funny, as management should care the most about providing excellent service. Unfortunately, the room was indeed understocked: just one small bottle of shampoo and conditioner for five guests. The breakfast was good, but the coffee was very disappointing.
