This resort was amazing! I have no complaints what so ever. The food was very delicious. However, i do have a few things that i should point out to potential travelers: -the drinks are quite watered down. The trick is to order a shot of liquor and add it to your drink -bring your own straws or reusable straws, the resort does not have them. -there is a mild mildew-like smell thats not the most appealing but understandable considering the climate we're in. The resort doesnt lose any points for this, i just felt it was worth noting.

Could have used a facelift. Seemed a bit old but it was a very nice overall stay. Would come back for the 2 story rooftop plunge pool but that's about it.

I loved this resort . My only complaint was the mishap with COVID test but they did apologize and made sure we had our appointment set first thing in the morning other than that everything was 5 starts

The Excellence Collection will not accept responsibility for anything related to the use of this service since it is not part of the services offered by our hotels and resorts. Guests must take into consideration their home country’s specific requirement; in the case of the USA, Canada and UK, for instance, airlines require the test to be taken no more than 72 hours prior to your scheduled departure. It is the sole responsibility of guests to comply with all requirements, to make timely arrangements and verify the information, as it contains personal information that only the user will be able to identify any mistakes. The use of this service is at the complete discretion of the guest and will always have the option to visit any local clinic to take the test on his/her own. The property was clean and well kept. The extra for the Excellence Club was not worth it we not allowed early check in like they said and we were only a hour early. Also couldn’t make reservations for the Japanese restaurant two days in advance.

We returned to the US from our trip just a few days ago, and if I could go back tomorrow, I wouldn't waste a moments thought. My wife and I have been to ERC multiple times through these last few years, and decided to return again to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Like some, we've been reluctant to travel since early last year and admittedly we were nervous about this trip. All I can say is, judging by what we observed and what we experienced, we made the right choice in going. Yes, some things were different from our last time there. They're still working their way through some of last season's hurricane damage, which appeared to reduce some of the dining options. The restaurant above the pool bar was destroyed, which has changed some of the breakfast and lunch options. CoVid has affected how breakfast was served, as it is no longer a self-serve breakfast/lunch buffet. The reduction in overall travel appears to have reduced some menu and drink options. BUT... the food and drink were still plentiful and expertly prepared. Our dinners were still high quality and delicious. We were catered to and pampered by everyone we encountered, whether it was our favorite bar servers Antonio and Amele, to the waiters in the restaurant, Amir and Mario. The Guest Relations staff was incredible. Fatima Young, went out of her way to ensure our anniversary trip was a memorable one, and really took care of us. I can not thank her enough. Other staff members helped guide us

The property was beautiful and the staff was great. Especially Daniela, Alberto and Benito. The Activities were fun! The food was very bland. I can't say it was bad but I can't say it was extremely good either. Just something to eat.
