I recently stayed at this stunning resort for my 10 year anniversary and was truly impressed by the breathtaking scenery and impeccable service. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make sure every need was met with warmth and professionalism. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the accommodations are both luxurious and comfortable — a perfect setting for a relaxing escape. However, while the resort excels in hospitality and ambiance, the dining experience was underwhelming. The food was mediocre at best, lacking the flavor and variety one would expect at a destination of this caliber. Similarly, the entertainment options felt limited and somewhat dated, leaving the evenings feeling a bit flat. Overall, this resort offers a wonderful stay thanks to its beauty and outstanding service, but there’s definitely room to enhance the culinary offerings and evening activities to create a truly unforgettable experience.

The majority of the staff was very attentive to your needs, always polite and willing to go out of their way. I was extremely disappointed when I saw the ocean water was brown. Literally, no one dared to get in. It was a very expensive trip to be confined to the pool. Everything else was great at this resort. FYI when they tell you check-in is 3 o’clock they mean no exceptions.

The facility is good and clean , food quality is ok( did not have a chance to visit French restaurant, heard it excellent ). Beach is full of seaweed, water is brown. The service at the pool, especially between buildings 2-6 suburb. All the employees are nice and friendly, always helpful

Excellence Riviera Cancun: A Complete Disappointment We booked Excellence Riviera Cancun for our anniversary, and it was one of the worst travel experiences I’ve ever had. The only positives were the staff—attentive, kind, and professional—and that most of the property was well maintained. Unfortunately, everything else was a disaster. The phones in our room didn’t work, the resort app was down, and the only way to reach the front desk was a seven-minute walk across the property. Communication was a joke. The food and drinks were equally bad. While there were plenty of options, every meal looked and tasted the same—bland, low-quality, and uninspired. Even worse, their so-called plant-based menu contained items that weren’t plant-based at all. The beach and ocean were unusable. The entire property reeked of rotten fish from overwhelming seaweed, and the water was brown and uninviting. This alone ruined one of the main reasons for booking a beachfront resort. Expedia should warn travelers before selling week-long stays here. This trip was so disappointing that I packed a bag early and booked the rest of our vacation at a better resort in Cozumel. Final verdict: I wouldn’t stay here again if someone paid me. The staff tried, but everything else failed. Not worth the money, not worth the hype, and certainly not worthy of the name “Excellence.”

This resort is amazing!! My husband and I stayed here for 7 days to celebrate our second anniversary. We were able to check in our room early as a courtesy which was very much appreciated. My stay here was beautiful!!! I enjoyed every minute, the grounds were amazing our room was really nice and the bed was sooo comfortable, from the moment we arrived the hospitality was so welcoming and we was just blown away ready for our vacation. The shows and entertainment was awedome the food in each restaurant was all 5 star service and multiple options to dine and lets not for get our butler Santos by the pool side/lazy river he made sure all of our needs were met as long as we were there, keep our drinks coming and yesss they were delightful, I would definitely return the left nothing to question....please go and enjoy a resort thats very serene, relaxing and the aroma therapy thought the resort lobbys were soo pleasant.
