Positives: Bed was super comfy and the staff was lovely. Close to Northerly Island. Next to Paris baguette. Negatives: Thin, old (really old) towels. No handheld shower. Narrow bathroom. Super-thin toilet paper. Hotel and rooms are showing their age. Rooms need fresh paint.

Good location

It’s an older hotel, but the location is prime and it was a more affordable option to be in that location. Room was very clean. Staff was friendly. No complaints

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. For the price I was appalled by the condition of the rooms. It needs serious updating and renovating. The window in our room had mould growing on it. The staff and housekeeping services are very nice.

A hotel in dire need of moderisation

The first impression of the hotel in the lobby was good, quite modern, but all other areas are in dire need of refurbishment. The room was dark and dingy with old furniture not suitable for a modern day hotel. The bathroom had an old fashioned shower curtain over a low bath which led to water on the floor after each shower leading to visible damage to the door. The room had single glazed windows which meant the room was very noisy. We reported that there was no safety deposit box in the room as advertised and the coffee machine did not work but these issues were not resolved. Our 'suite' had a refrigerator and microwave but no utensils so were of no real use at all. Maintenance (hammering) of the room above was carried out before 8am one morning during our stay. The corridors and lifts are in need of updating. We would certinly not stay in this hotel again and not recommend it to other travellers.

Perfect location. It’s a little farther south, so it’s the perfect balance of the lively city but also quieter than the busier areas. Walking distance to the transit system and every amenity you could need. Definitely recommend for anybody coming to Chicago
