In general the staff was friendly and responsive. However, I didn’t have an iron in my room, I called down to request one and was told one would be right up. I called again in 30-40 mins after none came and was told one would be brought. I then had to have 30 mins later without ever getting the iron. No call, no explanation, nothing!

The breakfast provided once paid for when making the reservation was sub par. 4 slice toaster only 2 slots worked. No butter, associate said we had to ask for it. A spoon to get bacon from the warming container. Bacon was barely cooked. Both days we were there. (How do you get bacon with a spoon) maybe it is to prevent customers from eating too much. Food was barely warm. Second day only ate toast and jelly with coffee and milk. The milk was really cold🙂

Great, affordable option in the loop. No frills or anything. Don’t expect luxury or a lot of space. I was in Chicago on business, so it was exactly what I was looking for. Convenient location, casual bar with late hours downstairs and very friendly / helpful staff.

The hotel was clean, the staff helpful. However, there were no accommodations for seniors, such as grab bars in the shower, shower mats to prevent slipping, directions for operation the wide screen TV or the heat. Remember, we seniors perhaps are not frequent travelers and might need more direction.

Small room, king bed had a trough in the middle, only one desk chair. But the room was reasonably clean and the bathroom was quite clean. An older property without a lot of amenities but if you’re staying downtown Chicago for other reasons, it’s a decent alternative to one of the pricier hotels.Five minutes’ walk from Orchestra Hall.
