Beautiful Ocean view retreat in Eastern Passage: Serenity by the Ocean đ
A beautiful oceanfront home where I fell in love on my road trip to Eastern Passage in 2021 and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did â€ïž the view in the backyard is amazingly beautiful. You can watch lobster fishing boats passing by âŠ.you need to be here to experience it! So, hereâs a little bit of everything you can experience here in Eastern Passage and enjoy your stay @ âSerenity by the Oceanâđ
The entire house is well suited for a small family or two couples. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs. The master bedroom has a queen bed overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the lobster boats. The second bedroom also has a queen bed overlooking the road and the small bedroom has a big day bed really comfortable for a tall person overlooking the road as well. Just to let you all know... there's going to be honking and noise from the passing cars.
You have the whole house and the backyard to enjoy every moment here in Nova Scotia â€ïž
Other things to note No parties or events unless the host is aware of it!! No surprises!!! Please let me know if you wish to have a party or event and I can work something out as long as you're respectful to the neighbors.
The location and our host, Sue, were equally amazing! On the water with fishing boats out our back door and even a seal that popped up almost every day was incredible. And Sue was extremely responsive and beyond helpful. She truly bent over backwards to make our stay comfortable and memorable. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could!
This VRBO, although good enough was not serene. If you live in a quiet suburban area be aware there is lots of traffic noise starting at early hours of the morning and going later into the night. The street it is on is a main route towards Dartmouth, with a connecting intersection about 6 m from the edge of the property. Many spots in the house including the bathroom was crowded with stuff (decor, lotion, ect) making it hard to find a spot for your stuff. There were also some other issues including a couple of maintenance issues. Adequate curtains could help alot.
Perfect location for our stay. 25 minutes to airport and 25 from downtown Halifax, 8 min walk to fishermanâs wharf where we met our guide with Blue Shark charter, 15 minutes to Rainbow Park beach. It was great being able to relax in the calm of the harbour, watching the sunset after a long touring day. Our host met me on arrival, with an umbrella for the torrential rain, and gave me a tour of the home as well as where the essentials were and the extras down at the beach house. Our host also provided us with a takeout meal as we arrived about 2030h as well as some water in the fridge and a big congratulations for my son who finished university. Itâs an older home which has benefited from upgrades and modernization. The heat pumps kept it cool on the hot days - and there were many. The bathroom and shower were modernized, clean and good with plenty of amenities and towels and such. The BBQ was fairly unused but we made good use of it with farm fresh sausage and steaks and freshly caught Atlantic cod. A very comfortable stay in a picturesque location away from the hustle of Halifax.
Our stay was a dream come true. This house holds sentimental value for my husband and his family as his great grandfather built it and he himself visited his grandparents there throughout his childhood. Being able to bring our children to stay on the property was simply amazing. Sue was more than accommodating when I discussed the history with her. She went above and beyond to make our stay special and comfortable. The beds are comfortable, house is clean and the kitchen and bathroom are well stocked with essentials. The view is incredible with easy access to shopping, groceries and walking trails. We are already planning to stay again.
Staying in Eastern Passage at this property was wonderful. To be able to look out the window and watch the boats come and go was very relaxing. We really appreciated the sitting area right down by the water. Sue was terrific to deal with, although we did not need her for anything during our stay as the house was well equipped with everything. We would not hesitate to book here again.
What an amazing experience!A rustic house full of character, and the orivate dock in the back was exceptional for the peaceful view.My kids loved fishing and playing back there.Would highly recommend!
We had a wonderful stay at this property. Our host Sue was wonderful. She was so frienfly and helpful, as well as full of great recommendations. We very much appreciated the brand new bbq and outdoor furniture. The location was perfect for us as a home base to explore the East Coast, and just minutes on foot from Fisherman's Cove. The backyard view was ICONIC east coast and peaceful. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
We loved staying here. The unit is located right at the oceanâs edge, with a view out the kitchen window of an active fishing harbour. It was fantastic. The host was brilliant, in every way: welcoming and quick to respond to questions. We would happily stay again, and recommend it strongly.
The house was lovely with lots of character. The view is amazing. Everything you could want or need plus is there.
Hostess was beyond helpful. She made the stay even more special.
Older home, not huge but plenty of space for our family, bunkie used mainly for storage but would be a nice hangout on chilly days; private dock with view of Halifax skyline; walking distance to Fishermanâs Wharf. 20min drive to Halifax; 15min to Dartmouth; easy access to Eastern Shore. Note, if you want to use laundry facilities to let them know as itâs a separate key. Communication with host was friendly and easy. Would definitely stay here again!
What can we say, we loved it, will come back soon. Home away from home. Very clean and welcoming, just bring you personal items and beverages. Beautiful waterfront views from the whole kitchen. Deck with comfy chairs, walk down to the dock and enjoy the view around the clock.
We totally enjoyed our stay with an Amazing view of the fishing wharf. Spent lots of time on the included dock watching the boats and water views.
Located on a busy road so time was spent in the back area of the property.
Walking distance to the wharf with little gift shops and crafters and restaurants too. We walked the boardwalk on a rainy foggy day and it was still a feeling of living the Nova Scotia life.
Sure hope to return again.
We were in the Halifax area for work; Subatra was a helpful and gracious hostess - easy to get ahold of and responded promptly to all of our questions. The property was exactly what we needed for our stay here. I would highly recommend!
