We really enjoyed our room and the hotel. It was super clean, we loved the staff little attentions. I would stay there again in the same room. The only downfall was that sometimes other guess would talk loud or slam the door entering or exiting (our room was right next to the entrance) but otherwise it was perfect.

Be aware there is no human interaction, no guide book , no local advice. beautiful rooms but very creaky narrow halls for neighboring rooms. Loud stairway, hall etc.

Wonderful hidden gem!

Super easy check in process. Love the keyless entry system. We stayed in Manor and loved the room. Beautifully decorated, comfortable bed, well thought out layout and storage! The toiletries smell wonderful. Just far enough away from the hustle but close enough to walk everywhere or easily catch a bus/tram. Sad we only had two nights. Highly recommend staying here!

My room was clean and comfortable and the self check in was effortless. I loved the rain head in the shower and the comfort of the bed. The room smelled so good due to the scotch pine scent.

The room was beautiful but very small. I stayed in the St. Mary's. Everything is wonderful but there is no room to set your luggage. The finishes are beautiful and there are plenty of amenities. Just be aware it's very small, but I would stay again.

Beautiful room, spacious and well appointed hotel. Loved the room fragrance so much that I purchased some! No problems with access codes. The area has some great pubs and restaurants. Highly recommend this hotel!

Out of the 6 hotels we stayed in on this vacation, this one was by far the best. I was a little worried that there wasn't a front desk but everything was seemless. They made you feel like you were in your friends lovely guest bedroom, but still had all the amenities of a traditional hotel room. Highly recommend for singles or couples. Would love to stay here again

Our stay

We were given our check in details by email before we arrived at the property as this is an unmanned boutique hotel wd were afvused if we need help to call the number given.We gained access by the code given and we were advised by email where to go to get into our room. We were in the Coates room which is located on the lower floor dywn a very steep spiral staircase. Both myself & ny husband are nearly 70 so found this a bit difficult to manoeuvre however we finally got into the room which was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for the night however we found the room tight. The bed was very comfy I didn't use the shower but my husband said it was amazing. This was a Christmas present from our family to coincide with theatre tickets we had bought it was near our venue however nit something we would use again

Eleven Stafford is a beautiful building and the Glencairn room is fabulous. It is in a great location for restaurants and visiting different sites of interest in the city.

We had a fantastic stay here. The room was spacious and beautiful. There was tea and coffee supplied, plus a closet with some hangers and a really cute bathroom. The area was 8 mins walking distance from most things we wanted to see. One of the main streets was a little sketchy at night but we just took other routes. My only complaint/recommendation would be to add a mini fridge to the room. It would have saved us so much money and there’s more than enough space to have one. That and to add a dresser or furniture we could put our clothes away in as all the drawers present were pretty small and unusable.

Be very careful when you are booking. Their booking software through Hotels.com and their site will book you into an open room that might not be the photo you are looking at and you need to read the tiny little print on the square footage of the room to know what room it is. The photos you will see will be their 'suites' but the room you might actually get may be something you can barely turn around in. I booked a room (not an inexpensive room either) for our twenty year anniversary that every photo showed as a large suite with a sitting area and a lovely view. It's a stock photo. (It's literally showing the photo of the room I tried to book next to this review) We arrived to find our room nearly impossible to walk in and with luggage? Forget it. I tried to find another room for our stay, but the city was completely booked. This room is ridiculous. You can sit on the bed. Period. And while the bathroom is modern, it's the size of a small closet. We've stayed all over Scotland, so we weren't expecting palatial. Our view? It's a bin filled alley with trash strewn all over and the garbage trucks and lorries coming and going. Their response to all of this was, "We're so sorry." Sure, it's a 'premium' room, but if you are knocking your knees against the door to get into the room it's not premium. Be aware most of the rooms are up VERY steep, spiral stairs and you will be carrying your luggage up. It was an incredibly disappointing stay.

Lovely appointed and prepared room in the west end, handy for the relaxed, less touristy drinking and eating on Rose Street. Recommend nipping out to Cairngorm Coffee, a lovely local eatery for breakfast, and take a walk down to The Dean Bridge and along the Water of Leith Walkway to St Bernards Well and Stockbridge.

Staying in the Moray room, we had a fantastic experience at Eleven Stafford Street. Self check-in instructions were easy to follow and the hotel itself was close to public transport links including Haymarket train station, tram, and bus routes. The room was immaculate and very comfortable.
