Hotel is clean, in a great location right across from the train station and everything is pretty modern. Some things needed a bit getting used to - like having the sink outside of the shower/toilet room right next to the door. Felt weird. But it had all the amenities you need, including safe, robe, slippers etc. The bar was very well stocked and everything was free, including drinks and snacks! I especially enjoyed the Nespresso AND frother in the room. It made it easy for me to have my morning latte/croissant and relax. I did not use the breakfast. They needed a time commitment, which I found inconvenient and which was not possible for me with jetlag. But that was the only downside. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Be aware that some rooms do not have windows that open. I was lucky and had a corner room, where I could open a window. Probably does not matter for most people, but I really need to be able to open windows in my rooms. Would stay at this hotel for sure again!

We only stayed for 1 night but would highly recommend the Market Street Hotel and hope to return one day! The views from the check-in area and bar are incredible, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room was clean, modern, and tastefully decorated, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We especially appreciated the offer of the welcome glass of Champagne, free mini bar in the room, and the HUGE mirror in the bathroom area, with plenty of room for luggage storage. It is also in an extremely convenient location for access to Waverley Station.

Love this hotel. Super quiet despite being in busy area. Modern eco friendly luxurious rooms and amenities. Steps away from Waverley station and Waverley Bridge with access to airport buses. Also a few minutes walk to the Royal Mile and nearby Princes Street Gardens and shopping.

Fantastic people - nice hotel

A few things would knock points off. I found my à la carte breakfast - hummus on toast with poached egg - quite unpleasant. Also there was a weird buzzing in my room unless I turned off one particular light. But actually the hotel is lovely. The bar area is spectacular. And the staff were very attentive. (I’m sure they would have sorted any issues if I’d bothered to mention them.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. Michael at the front desk was extremely kind and helpful. As was the staff at the upstairs restaurant. Loved the stocked mini bar that was replenished daily and the location was central to everything you could want to access. Looking forward to coming back and staying again.
