The staff was very welcoming and did a great job. The bars were great as well- having a posted drink list on the app would be really nice, especially for the young adults with us. The buffet, Mexican restaurant, Driftwood, beach snack bar, Japanese restaurant, and beach bbq were delicious. We were able to customize our mini bar which was really nice! We stayed in 2 swim up rooms 7214 & 7216-they were spacious and clean but not high enough for an ocean view which was fine because we spent most of our time at the beach- the beds, hammocks, and chairs were plentiful. The fire show and pottery painting were our favorite activities. I would have happily stayed another couple nights- 4 wasn't enough! My complaints are: 1. The hot tubs and all the pools were very cold. 2. The beaches aren't soft sand and you can't walk from Suites beach side to Palms beach side without leaving the beach and the ocean in front is not really great for swimming- lots of rocks. The beach at Tulum was perfect though! Overall, we'd recommend this place. I've stayed at 8 other resorts in this area and this was one of my favorites. I enjoy ocean swimming and soft sand too much to stay here again though.

If you are looking for a nice peaceful getaway this is the resort for you. I wish I would’ve stayed a lot longer to experience a bit more. I would definitely recommend to friends and family

We enjoyed our stay at the Eldorado seaside suites. We stayed in a honeymoon suite which was very spacious and quiet. The shower alone was as big as our half bath at home. The staff was very attentive and room service was prompt. There is a variety of restaurants and all were good. My wife and I preferred the seaside market that is buffet style and no reservation is required. We took a tour to Chichén Itzá that was fun and also drove to Tulum and Alkumal for snorkeling. Cell service was spotty and signage isn’t good even with fluent Spanish, so get good directions before leaving the resort. The beach in front of our building wasn’t swimmable and you need to take a shuttle around the nude beach to get to a good beach. It’s about a five minute trip. Shuttles are needed to get around to restaurants and bars also as the property is sprawling. Shuttles show up regularly every 10 or 15 minutes. Overall we thought it was a good place to stay.
