Cozy Cottage overlooking beautiful Loyalhanna Creek in Historic Ligonier!

Beautiful Cozy Cottage nestled on the banks of the Loyalhanna Creek on scenic Darlington Road in the Laurel Highlands. Spend your days relaxing on our spacious back deck nestled in the large trees overlooking the beautiful Loyalhanna Creek. It will be hard to beat the sights and sounds of nature. Grill your favorite foods on our LP gas grill and enjoy the meal outdoors at our large table. You can also snuggle up to the beautiful gas fireplace with your favorite book. Watch a variety of shows and movies on the 40" flat screen tv with 100+ cable channels, Roku, Netflix, and Discovery+. The kitchen has a newly installed dishwasher and is fully stocked with pots, pans, silverware, and dishes, etc. The exterior kitchen wall is lined with windows bringing in sunlight and highlighting nature and the outdoors. The Cottage has central air conditioning and heating. An office area is also included with high-speed Wi-Fi, table, and a printer. There is a couch that opens to a double sleeper also in the bedroom/office area that is perfect for 2 guests. A fifth guest can sleep on a twin sleeper bed located in the living room. Our cottage will now comfortably accomodate 5 guests. A washer and dryer are provided in the basement. It's wonderful to relax on the large deck with amazing views of the beautiful creek below. A Weber LP gas grill is provided for cookouts. Enjoy evenings around the outdoor firepit on Adirondack chairs with your favorite beverage. We provide the firewood and marshmallows! We hope you will plan a future stay at our Cozy Cottage!
There is access to the Loyalhanna Creek down the hill, but we don't recommend walking down the hill. It is pretty sloped and can be easy for our guests to slip and fall. Walking down hill at your own risk. There is an easy access to the creek straight across from our cottage. It is a short walk or drive across the bridge to an entry area that is only 3 feet elevation to navigate. There is also spots over there to park your car.

IMPORTANT NOTE: NO SMOKING OR VAPING ALLOWED ANYWHERE ON THIS PROPERTY.
We offer our Cozy Cottage as a smoke free enviroment. We don't allow smoking or vaping on our property. If you need to smoke or vape we kindly ask that you stay at another Vrbo property. We will charge $400 cleaning fee for any evidence of smoking or vaping. Thanks for your attention to this house rule.

First, the location is perfect, overlooking a beautiful creek. As soon as we entered, we could see that the cottage was immaculate. Nicely decorated, with everything we needed for our stay - it's small but mighty! The hosts were very communicative and thoughtful in the days leading up to our trip, and promptly answered the few questions we had. Since this trip was planned to allow my writing colleague and I to complete final revisions on our novel, we especially appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful scenery. Over do weekend away

Good location over looking the Creek. The Cottage is well maintained and has everything one might expect with this type of rental property. Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend for a couple wanting to get away. The bonus is its close to Town that has a lot to offer.

We loved our stay at this riverfront cottage that is extremely clean and thoughtfully decorated. The home is so well stocked with everything you could need and the deck overlooking the river is amazing. It is a short drive into the quaint town of Ligonier. Highly recommend.

Wonderful Birthday Getaway!

We had a lovely time staying at the Cozy Cottage for my birthday! We especially loved the gas fireplace and the deck overlooking the Loyalhanna. The owners stock the cabin very thoughtfully, even down to ingredients for s'mores! They also knew it was my birthday weekend so they even had a cake waiting for me! Their hospitality exceeded our expectations.

The cabin was perfect for our needs. It was central to everything we wanted to do. Very clean and stocked extremely well. The hosts were more than accommodating and very quick to respond. They even left us treats!!! Love this place on a beautiful creek. You won't be dissapointed!

Out of all the VRBO properties we have stayed at, this was head and shoulders above the rest. Doug and Betty are consummate hosts. The property was immaculate; the location was perfect along a stream. They provided more perks for our stay than we have ever gotten at a rental property, including fresh fruit! Birthday week for my fiance

We stayed 6 days. It has the most beautiful view and everything you need is there. It was so peaceful and relaxing. My fiance loved spending his birthday in this cozy little cottage. The cottage was very welcoming and decorated so artistically and furnished with attractive and comfortable seating and beds. I slept in the sofa bed and it was very comfortable. We dined at the Darlington Inn, just down the road. The Hungarian smorgasboard was delicious! My only disappointment was that I wished we were there in warmer weather so we could enjoy the outdoor amenities Did I mention that the TV's offered many channels? Loved the faux fireplace. Winter Wonderland

My husband and I stayed in Ligonier for our winter break. From the start, Doug and Betty were so kind and courteous. We drove from South Florida to PA and Betty was kind in enough to call before our arrival to make sure we would get in safely before the storm. When we arrived, we realized the cottage was even better than the pictures! It was cozy, comfortable, and they had everything we needed. The deck out back is breathtaking during the winter so the fireplace was perfect! My husband and I loved the cottage and we were even sad to leave, the views from all of the windows was truly amazing. If you are looking for a cozy cottage in PA with great hosts, this is the place to be! We will definitely be back!

Great getaway to unwind

Perfect location and has perfect hosts. The owners have thought of everything for their guests so that you can relax, unwind and enjoy the views and lovely community. The location is 30 minutes away from the Flight 93 memorial, which we did not realize until we arrived and were glad that we visited. Thank you for making our stay so lovely.
