It takes a lot to write a negative review but after the experience we had we felt it necessary. When checking in, staff was not friendly and were told no parking was available, after we booked this hotel purposefully for parking. Once in our room, we were met with a musty smell and a dirty room. There were numerous stains on the walls and the lamp shades, what looked to be mold in the corners of the showers and coffee spilt on the table. We checked in and out within 20 minutes and were told we would not be receiving a refund. We contacted Expedia in hopes to resolve this matter, and management has still failed to respond to Expedia. Very disappointed in the hotel and do not recommend.

Wanting to charge me more money at check in

I was being asked to pay an additional €45 for the extra person that I had already paid for. They were very rude, and when I showed them my reservation details, confirming that I had already paid for the extra person, they asked me to fill out a form and it was not a very pleasant experience.

I stay at this hotel every time I’m in Lisbon and it’s always perfect. The staff is friendly and helpful, clean spacious rooms and very good location.

Very nice condition in good price, compared to other similarly priced hotels in the core downtown area, such as in Rossio, Chiado, Baixa. The reviews in those downtown hotels, if true, have lots of complaints related to older construction, such as poor ventilation, street sound, mold etc. But this hotel is a very good alternative for those who wants to avoid those downtown hotels with very bad reviews, because it's only a 2 metro station away from core downtown. So you can avoid all those while staying relatively central. There are many shops and restaurants nearby. Strongly recommended, especially because the metro is 1 minute walking distance. The staff were very friendly. Good option for families.

Terrible Experience Our recent stay at the Masa Hotel Almirante was a complete disaster. After a long journey from London, we arrived at 6:30 pm only to find our room completely devoid of towels. Unbelievably, even after reporting this to reception, we returned at 11 pm to find the situation unchanged. The excuse given was a shortage due to a large student group – completely unacceptable! This meant no shower after a long day. Towels finally arrived the next morning, but the damage was done. The staff's dismissive attitude only compounded the issue. This basic failure and appalling customer service ruined our first days in Lisbon. Hardly to recommend.

Hotel staff were friendly and efficient,room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was basic and not really worth the money. Reception area was clean and tidy but carpet on 7th floor looked filthy and hallway could do with redecorating. Walk into centre takes about 20 minutes but there is a metro station a minute away .
