Just a shame they don’t take Amex. Simply means I can’t return as my company only use Amex for business trips and I visit Richmond quite often.

Superb view from room and restaurant- excellent staff very friendly and helpful. Only criticism was no air conditioning in rooms just portable fan / although was present in restaurant

A nice hotel but not worth the money. We only ordered one breakfast for room service which was incomplete as they didn't have vegetarian options and got an ice bucket up to the room and somehow paid £130 in extra fees. If I had the time again I probably would've chosen somewhere else. It was very clean and the bath was lovely, most of the staff were polite and helpful.

The property looks beautiful and I really hate leaving a negative review, however if this review helps the owner to improve or future visitors to be aware of then that’s my advice. The only fault we had was that there was no AC in the bedroom we stayed in. This made us open the window to let air in at night as it very uncomfortable to be in especially when trying to sleep. This caused a problem the next day as leaving the window open on the 4th floor invited bugs into the room and let’s just say they were everywhere especially near the lights! This is my only complaint.

A lovely stay at The Petersham. Would have easily given 5 stars if some sort of air conditioning was available. Mini heatwave whilst we were there and unfortunately the fan available was not adequate for overnight. I understand it is most probably a listed building and regular air conditions would not be appropriate, but free standing units are available, ie Dyson

Rooms were very comfortable and food was excellent. Breakfast was super tasty and parking was plenty. Staff exceptionally friendly and accommodating. One thing they need to install is air conditioning in the rooms - it was not yet peak summer and the rooms were already over-heating. Thanks for the great stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others. The views the hotel has over the estate and river are also unmatched - great for special events.
