super one night stay in The Standard . A comfortable room with every facility imaginable , cheese board and cocktail shaker . A great retro room with a fantastic panorama view minus the traffic noise . The hotel is in a super location for Kings Cross and St Pancreas . A great concierge , Abo , went over and beyond , a great asset to the hotel .

Horrible experience

After midnight, a housekeeping staff member was knocking at our door. We asked him to leave, but he entered our room anyway. I was partially undressed, wearing only a towel. He saw me and still continued talking to me, insisting that the room shouldn’t be occupied. I had to ask him again to leave. It was a terrible experience. The next day, when I presented my complaint, the only compensation offered was a 50% discount on the £44.00 breakfast. The manager seemed very unsympathetic to this horrible experience.

We had an excellent stay, the bathtub on the patio was a really special touch! Great bed, very comfortable sleep. And very convenient location for getting the train/tube.
