Although it's in the city center, this is a very quiet area, with streets full of antique shops to get lost in.
On Sunday and holiday mornings, locals and tourists alike flock to the famous Rastro: a street market full of antiques, clothes, odd items⊠where all the neighborhood shops bring their most picturesque artwork and objects out onto the street.
There are also many local businesses nearby, including supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants, and bars.
HOW TO GET THERE From the airport (Adolfo SuĂĄrez Madrid-Barajas):
Take Line 8 towards Nuevos Ministerios. At Nuevos Ministerios, transfer to Line 6 towards Laguna. Get off at Diego de LeĂłn, then transfer to Line 5 towards Casa de Campo.
Get off at Puerta de Toledo and walk to the provided address.
From Atocha Station:
Take Line 1 towards Pinar de ChamartĂn. Get off at Gran VĂa and transfer to Line 5 towards Casa de Campo.
Get off at Puerta de Toledo and walk to the provided address.
From ChamartĂn Station:
Take Line 1 towards Valdecarros. Get off at Gran VĂa and transfer to Line 5 towards Casa de Campo.
Get off at Puerta de Toledo and walk to the provided address.
If arriving by car, please check the Madrid City Council website to see where you are allowed to drive and park.
GETTING AROUND The nearest metro stations are Puerta de Toledoand La Latina(both on Line 5).

Wonderful apartment in La Latina - walked out our building front door into the Sunday market! Great food options in the neighborhood. Rooms were clean and nice. Living / dining space is a little small (we had 4 travelers) but we made it work. Had trouble getting the app key card to work the first day but a quick call to the service number fixed the issue in under 2 minutes! Lovely stay!

The fully anonymous check-in & -out needed some (electronic) cleverness and phone calls. The same applies to queries.
Looking for a quiet nights sleep, but close proximity to much of the city center? Look no further. Quaint apartment with all amenities necessary. Beds could be a littler comfier, but all in all good spot if you are going to be roaming the city all day. 2 bath / 3 bed make all the difference. Close to coffee, restaurants, grocery and shops.
