We had a great stay at Hotel Ateneo. The location couldn’t be better — right in the heart of Madrid and walking distance to everything. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, and the room was clean, comfortable, and a solid value for the area. Being so central, there’s a bit of street noise at times, but nothing unexpected for Puerta del Sol. Overall, a very good stay and a hotel we’d happily return to.

Hotel is well located, albeit in a very loud area. You can hear folks on the street well into the early morning. The rooms are very bare bones and dated but clean and the staff is very friendly

Wonderfully located 3 star hotel in the center of Madrid in between Sol and Gran Via metro stations. The hotel is clean with modern amenities. The bathroom is modern with excellent shower and bathtub. There can be noise in the middle of the night especially on the weekends. I highly recommend this hotel.
