Loved how pet friendly the property was and the reasonable price they charge for having a pet. The hot tub and outside fire feature were also nice in the evenings. Location is great with short walk to the ocean and beach (many dog friendly beaches also). The one area of opportunity was the cleanliness of the bathroom floor. Wasn't filthy by any means, but also wasn't mopped from the previous visitor.

Several blocks away from central Pacific Grove, but close enough to catch the vibe. Next door to the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary, quiet and serene environment.

This was a great visit to escape Fourth of July fireworks in our neighborhood. Pacific Grove doesn’t allow those, and it was super quiet. The facility is aging and has pretty thin walls, but the guests were nice and our three day stay was quite enjoyable.

Not great but fantastic staff

First, the staff is top-notch and go above and beyond friendly and helpful. We had 5 people and got the 2-room cottage. It was not a good choice for us. The cottage has two rooms - one room has a double bed and the other room has two queen beds and that’s it. There is no living room like space for sitting and relaxing. Between the bedrooms is a shared bathroom, one side has a bathroom sink and the mini fridge & microwave. The other has the toilet and shower stall. The shower stall is the size of an RV shower. It was tiny. And one toilet for 5 people was not going to work. The staff was super helpful though and changed our rooms to two separate rooms. Not ideal, but better than the cottage. One room had two queens & kitchenette with dining table for four. The other room had one king bed. The king bed room was okay, but not great. It was ground floor and the window in the sink area had no lock on it. It didn’t have a curtain on it either, so it let in a lot of light and since there is no door to this area, the room had a lot of light. Bed was fine. Not super comfortable but not uncomfortable. There is no desk, no couch, and only one chair. No ideal. There is no a/c, so the room does get hot and stuffy during the day unless you open a window. They include a box fan, which helped cooling it down a lot. The door has no chain or extra security, so we took our valuables with us when we left. The location is quiet and a 10-minute drive to aquarium and canary row.

Terrible because I had an emergency and Expedia said Hotel was going to charge me one charge to cancel. I case if an emergency I feel Hotel should have refunded all nights. I even cancelled before arriving. They could have booked rooms.

We came here to stay from a nice hotel in San Francisco and it was a bit of a shock to the system! Having said that, it was a fine base for our stay. We stayed in the two room cottage and it was pretty tight for a family of 5 and all our luggage. The place is clean - minus the random dusty sock under the bed - but a bit tired. The bed is the separate bedroom was only a double which meant our feet hung out the end while our kids enjoyed the two queen beds in the other room. Don’t leave any food / drink out as the ants will be all over it - even a used cup, but there is a fridge to store food in. We found Pacific Grove really chilly having come through Gilroy on the way but glad to say there was a heater in the bedroom. Can recommend going to the Red House Cafe for a great breakfast.

Room was interesting with two queen beds when you walk in and then a little hall with a fridge and microwave. then a room with a double bed and the bathroom. different kind of setup but it worked. the bathroom and shower were very small and outdated. A little pricy for what we got but I guess being Pacific Grove they can charge more.

Great property - horrible WiFi for business.

All was great except for the WiFi which was a disaster. One bar IF you stood next to the window. I thought I’d be able to relax, while still conducting business, but the WiFi issues made that impossible.
