My friends and I take annual trip for our fantasy football draft, and this year brought us to Canyon Lake. We chose to stay at this place because it looked nice, had the right amount of rooms/beds, and was right on the river. Some times pictures can be deceiving, but that was not the case here. It exceeded our expectations and the location really made the logistics of floating the river a piece of cake.

Two families met up for this stay with kids ages 10-16. Communication was easy and the entire house & all linens were super clean & smelled great....very welcoming.We made meals & found everything we needed to do so. A standard coffee pot wasn't available but I did see one on top of the trash bin at the street so assumed it had just broken. There was a single serve. The kids enjoyed the games & we thought the honor bar was a neat idea. Loved the back porch & area down by the river! The water went from shallow to maybe 4 feet deep at the time of our stay. Uneven bottom so water shoes are a good idea. We walked down to Rio to rent tubes & do a float trip. The area is just beautiful. Worth noting a few updates since the posted photos. There is one futon in the living room & a good sized leather couch, vs two futons. There is also a larger TV in the living room, a newer washer/dryer set & larger dining table. It was very nice being able to wash our river stuff before packing up.The house entrance is on the river side so you do have to carry whatever you bring from the parking area, up a few stairs & the length of the house, around to the back porch. Do your back a favor & bring a rolling cooler. :)Thank you for sharing this peaceful & beautiful spot on the river. We really enjoyed our stay & would recommend it to others.

Riverside Retreat

We chose this property for the private river access, and it did not disappoint. The stone area at the river bank was the perfect place to sit and enjoy the river. The water was deep enough to swim, yet shallow enough to put our chairs in the river and enjoy the scenery. The upper deck of the house is nestled among the treetops, and makes you feel one with nature. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this riverside retreat, and would happily revisit in the future.

Perfect getaway

The house was perfect between the view and the coziness, the property manager was extremely helpful and easy to communicate with. My only issue was it smelt like dog in the back bedroom when we arrived. Other than that it was truly the perfect weekend getaway.

The River view is worth every penny, but the house was perfect when we walked in, too. Spotless with fresh linens and amenities like salt, pepper, cooking spray, and coffee. Will stay again!

Wonderful Stay

I have often seen this property while staying in other places, and I was so excited to dtay here. The river front access and seating was amazing! The firepit was amazing! The upstairs deck area was amazing! The house itself is cozy, comfortable, and clean. We will definitely stay here again.

Perfect family/friends getaway

Just my husband and I spent the night at the house. We had family and friends over for New Years Eve and the next day to watch football. It was a perfect location. Plenty of room to spread out. The house was clean and roomie, we had the patio area where the young professionals played games. The water view was beautiful and relaxing. A nice fire pit to sit around in the evenings. Info recommended this property to anyone looking for a getaway.

The home was great for our family. Very clean and cozy. I do have a suggestion, if possible Change the box springs in the rooms with queen size beds, they squeaked really loud I don’t think it was the Mattresses I’m guessing the box spring, it was a nuisance. Other than that we enjoyed our stay

The location of this charming house is perfect for family retreats. When having breakfast or dinner on the deck overlooking the river, it felt like we were in a tree house. There were 3 generations in our group and everyone enjoyed the stay.

This was our second stay at this property. Its perfect for our group of 2 families of 4. The house is always clean and well-stocked. The owner is very helpful. And you cant beat the location! The river access is priceless! If we make this trip again, we will absolutely stay here.

Perfect family get away

Loved the backyard sloping down to the river with a shaded yard, fire pit & patio right on the river. We set our chairs in the shallow part of the river & dipped our feet to stay cool & comfortable in a he 90 degree weather. There was plenty of tubes & floats for tubing
