The location and customer service is excellent and the place was clean. Some downsides though were inability to alter temperature in the room and super small refrigerator with no stocked water or even availability for water on the premises. Also the advertised studio was really just an armchair in the corner where the photos on line alluded to a couch.

CHATEAU HOTEL

The only thing i disliked is the sink clogged up / backed up. Needs a good roto rootering. But its a fashionable French quarter stay. Suite style which you had to step up into bathroom then step down into stoned shower. The clerk Clayton was extremely friendly and courteous. Even recommended dinner place that was a great Oyster House.

Excellent location, just down from Lafitte's Blacksmith. A parade went by one night, but for the most part fairly quiet.

Nola charm for a good price

You have to remember the hotel is 100+ years old. But it's in this excellent location that allowed us to just walk everywhere. We didn't use our car once. The parking rate was reasonable compared to most places in New Orleans, and it was a gated lot. The concierges were very friendly. The room itself was small but the bed was comfortable and everything was clean. There was some definite wear and tear to the room but it's old.

We stayed in room 116. The room was nice for what we needed. I hope that in the future you could place a blackout blind on the door window. The lights in the courtyard were tough to see in the early hours if we woke up. It was hard to determine the time of day and the light made it difficult to go back to sleep.

Wonderful place

New Orleans is always special; finding this hotel has made it even better, and we’ve been there twice last year, one week each stay. Location is perfect, staff are wonderful, and the rooms feel authentic. We paid for the balcony room both times.
