This hotel is a little tired luxury. The restaurant is new and nice, the rooms are huge and were super nice 20 years ago. The whole place just shows a lot of wear. Like dead plants missing from what was once a beautiful landscape. Rugs around the pool, a broken fountain at the Lazy River and everything is /was beautiful but the furniture is beat down and trash sits around the pool all day long. No one cleans up towels or trash until the end of the day. It's just not a luxury feel but the property is very nice if that makes sense. Staff was all fine but not at all a luxury feel. I think you will love it if you are expecting a nice place but if you are expecting luxury it's not on par with what I expected from what I thought Omni was. Maybe I was expecting more that what Omni is or is trying to be. We are talking sub Hilton or Westin here. I hate to be mean because it was fine but it's not what I was expecting when I heard Omni Resort in Rancho Mirage. If it was the Holiday Inn Resort Rancho Mirage I would be writing a different review for the same thing. The woman in the gift shop was lovely and gave us good recommendations for dinner and did all of the work of the concierge who was not there at 5pm on a Sunday.
Slides are cool but super gross body dirt marks- it sort of sums the place up. It was nice but it's dirty now.

This is a lovely “mini resort” in the center of the town (I never really knew there was a town of Palm Desert). It’s clean and has welcoming rainbows and that really fresh hotel smell that only nicer hotels have. Perfect for families.

Horrible experience, they put us in a room that smelled smoke initially and then moved us to a room by the pool area in which it was very Loud till early morning, kids couldn’t sleep so we cancelled the rest of the stay, they still charged me for extra day and 4 days of resort fee in which we spent only one night, never again

The resort has a lovely pool area that is well kept up, but we were disappointed with the limited meal options after 5pm. The only restaurant open switched to a very upscale menu and we were looking for a casual dinner. The rooms were nice and spacious, but the walls were quite thin and we were disturbed by a loud family. The hotel was accommodating in allowing us to move rooms, which we appreciated.
