This property is right across the street from the historic Christ Church Graveyard and only 3 blocks from Independence Hall. It is everything you'd expect from a Wyndham; upscale, modern, and comfortable. It was an ideal home base for us to explore historic Philadelphia.

Great location!

This hotel is in a great location for seeing Old City Philly! The good: The hotel is clean and employees are friendly. The location is fantastic! The price was great given the location. We didn’t have any issues. The pool is definitely showing its age, but it was fun and a great view of Philly. Good air conditioning during another summer heatwave. The not-as-good: While we had no major issues, check in was slow. There was one employee working as fast as she could (and friendly!), but it took us 30+ minutes to get our room. The hotel is definitely aging and dated, and the rooms are small. It was clean, but showing its age and wear and tear. Also, a lot of guests were smoking right outside so the lobby sometimes smelled strongly of cigarettes and weed. The room was very cold; however, we chose not to mess with the thermostat and let it stay cold because we heard other guests had rooms that were too hot. Overall, this was a good stay but wanted to leave an honest review.

The property is on the older side. They have on premise parking but it cost $40 a day and it was hard to get a parking spot each day we had to drive up and down the garage until someone would leave not very convenient. The front office staff were great and very friendly and helpful. House keeping was horrible they didn't clean very well and one day when we got back to our room and was getting ready for a wedding there were no towels and they took the used ones. Housekeeping never took the garbage from the room and the dust was insane and moldy shower curtain. The ac was so loud. I did like that it was near so many attractions and food options. We did eat at the property one night and the server started with what they didn't have. The wine was good the food was good and the server was good...

Chose this hotel because of location which was right in the heart of the old city. We parked the car in a garage next to the hotel Thursday afternoon and did not use it again until we left late Saturday. Walked to Independence Hall, Constitution Center, Franklin Square, Christ Church and the Delaware River for fireworks. Lots of places close by to eat. While the lobby of hotel was updated, the room was on the shabby side. Had to throw a sheet over the armchair to cover the stains. We stayed for two nights and there was no housekeeping. Had to track down a maid to ask for new towels and if our room could be made up. She said our room was "not on the list"! A very small wastebasket filled up to overflowing quickly because it wasn't emptied. A plus was the rooftop pool which was clean and had plenty of chairs, tables and lounges as well as a self serve cabinet of towels. Was hoping for some kind of a view-instead our window faced a brick wall :(

They had the worst internet I have ever used in the United states. The wifi on the entire floor was absent 90% of the times and extremely slow the remaining times. Talked with front desk and the response was not just rude but ineffective. Nothing was done about it.

Good location, outdated/cramped bathroom

Overall it was an acceptable stay, the room itself is actually quite spacious so perhaps they should've left more space for the bathrooms in the original design. The shower is very basic with outdated fixture that didn't spray right. I'm not very tall at 5'11" and I had to bend down to get my hair wet. The toilet is jammed between the shower and the faucet and you have to angle your arm just right to pull the toilet paper. Oh, and to combat smokers (I guess), the bathroom doesn't have an exhaust fan so you get the lingering smell of your business afterwards. I don't care for smokers either but bathrooms need exhaust fans. Outside of my bathroom complaints, my two day stay was without issue. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious and reasonably quiet for this class of hotel. The location was ideal for our museum-focused trip. The restaurant onsite is a bit sad but I won't include that in the hotel rating. Lastly I did spend some time at the pool and it was clean/acceptable if a bit small, but it was on top of the building and had decent views.

Housekeeping lacking

Comfy bed, nice to have a pool, but the dirty bathroom ruins the enjoyment with hair everywhere and a distinct urine smell. Carpets and common areas dirty too. Even our room key was greasy.
