Great and cheap get away. Staff was not the best but not terrible. Must like walking the rooms are spread out pretty good and the beach is a little ways away. All in all I had fun.

The rooms were nice, now the meat in the restaurant close to the beach was horrible my husband had a piece that had a thick vein going through the meat. Horrible experiece.

This property has a lot of potential, but it ruins them with BAD FLAWS. First - the food is TERRIBLE. The buffets are so bad - same desserts every time - and they are tasteless and gummy. How does a Mexican ruin FLAN? Seriously? Also, I LOVE salmon - and they cheap out, giving it to us once every three days. The eggs are either undercooked or overcooked. The hamburgers are truly putried. What is that - meat? The pool is COLD - NOT HEATED!!! It's FREEZING. We had to go into the ocean to warm up - believe it or not. We are NOT close to the beach. You have to take a shuttle - and they have ONE SHUTTLE. RIDICULOUS!! People are fighting for position because this one guy drives one golf cart back and forth AND HE TAKES OFF for TWO HOURS in the MIDDLE OF THE DAY!!! Unbelievable. It's in the best area - but it's just dreadful. I'd never stay again and would NEVER recommend this place. Oh - and when Francisco was told about how we felt, he offered us to stay in another RIU hotel - for MORE MONEY. Are you kidding me? Really? THAT is an offer to an UNHAPPY CUSTOMER? Shame on you, Riu!

I booked the Tequila, got there at 7:30pm and they said they overbooked & had no rooms. They put me in a much less nice hotel, and offered nothing else. I will never be staying at a Riu hotel again.
