It's an unpretentious little boutique hotel, a bit off the path, about a 15-minute walk to the center of town. A decent little restaurant, Pajarito, is just around the corner.
I had what I was told was the smallest room, and the only one without a kitchen, but it was a decent size and with all the amenities you could want: microwave, toaster, refrigerator, coffee maker (and the coffee's very good), table settings, a little table with three chairs. The TV gets a bunch of streaming services, though why you'd want to spend a lot of time in front of the TV in Puerto Vallarta is beyond me. My only complaint was, the room looked out on nothing.
The roof deck is a nice place to sip your morning coffee, and there's also a cute little wading pool. The Wi-Fi was good, and Judith and Shianne are consummate hosts, always ready to help.
As other posters have noted, mornings are noisy, with kids playing on just the other side of the fence. If you're a late riser, I wouldn't recommend it.
But it's certainly a bargain, cozy and responsive to your needs. If you don't mind the substantial walk to the beach, or the happy screams of kids playing in the morning, I'd totally recommend it.
