Secured gated New Mexico Casita, with private patios and free parking, views of the lights of Albuquerque, plus volcanoes and the Sandia Mountains. Hot air balloons launch on most mornings around the house. Enjoy sunsets, wildlife like; barn owls, quail, vultures, roadrunners and the sounds of coyotes moving thought the desert on a nightly prowl. During the sunsets you will see Great Horned owls swooping down to get their nightly snacks while thought-out the day you will see, Red-Tailed Hawks, Turkey Vultures and "Cooper's" Hawks fly over daily. We have just added a private blocked in back patio and out-door kitchen facing west, to enjoy our fantastic high desert sunsets - Natures best.

What a wonderful stay! We loved the seclusion of the back patio with an evening view at the edge of town no less. Nice and homey and relaxing and private. Perfect for this set of grandparents. Great kitchen, and a movie library like no other! Mike and Bernie were so delightful and helpful and responsive. What a Gem!

The property owners had great communication but also gave us privacy. There were plenty of clean linens and towels. Kitchen was clean and provided everything we needed to cook meals- grill on the back patio was a huge bonus. On Saturday morning we saw hot air balloons while sitting out back. Our stay here was absolutely wonderful. The accommodations were lovely, comfortable, with everything we needed to have a great visit with friends and family. What a wonderful stay we had at the casita. It is set up with a guest's every need in mind. The decor is cheerful and welcoming -the whole place is excellently appointed. The hosts were available for any questions or concerns and could not have been more helpful, yet they were not intrusive. The sunset views are stunning. We had an easy drive to anything we needed in town. There is no doubt that we will stay at this delightful place on our next visit to Rio.

The Casita was very clean and well furnished. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. The bedroom is cozy and space is utilized well. My son enjoyed his sleeping arrangement on the couch, and the living room area is comfy to unwind in. The bathroom is large with a great shower/tub. Our host was very gracious and communicated well through the VRBO app. My family and I greatly enjoyed our stay.

My husband and I went to NM to visit friends and decided to stay at this beautiful property. We loved the quietness and beauty it provided. Staying at the Casita with the views was the best Vrbo experience ever. Safe and Quiet, Just out of the way with great views but close to everything you would need . Coffee on the back patio in the morning after a good sleep on the most comfortable bed! This Casita had everything you need to enjoy your stay. Amazing casita in Rio Rancho

Mike and Bernie are the best! We had a great stay. The casita is beautiful and cozy! I loved watching the sunset from our private porch. Our hosts thought of everything. There were snacks, water and plenty of linens. They even supplied a book of movies we could borrow. I can’t say enough about this VRBO!!!

The Casita was a delightful home away from home while visiting our son in Albuquerque. Mike & Bernie are wonderful hosts and made our stay memorable. The Casita is clean, comfortable and has everything you need for a short or long stay. The area is safe, quiet, beautiful and close to amazing shopping, restaurants and attractions. Short but wonderful visit

We stayed five days while visiting family nearby. The remote location felt like home (we live in the country), and Mike and Bernie made us feel like family. We have recommended them to family that might visit the area in the future. Nothing was lacking--no complaints.

Michael and Bernie are great hosts and very nice. The Casita is very clean, comfortable and well stocked with basic kitchen and bathroom supplies. The location is peaceful with a beautiful view of the Sandia Mountains. We would stay here agsin.
