It was easy to walk to town, clean and good bed. A little noisy but slept well.

*The hotel was charming and the room was quite comfortable. However, the check-in process was terrible. We arrived at 6:45pm to find the office locked. Notes and phone numbers for the manager and owner were taped to the door, so I called and left 2 voice messages for each of them over 30 minutes. I also sent text messages to both numbers. I decided to contact Travelocity to attempt a refund so we could stay somewhere else for the night. The agent contacted the owner and then told me which room we had and that the door was unlocked with keys inside. Immediately after that I got a text from the owner with the same information. In all, it took us 45 minutes from time of arrival to getting into the room. The owner or manager could have contacted us prior to arrival with the room info.

If your stay was comfortable and nice, you should have given a 5 star. There was a mix up on the check in which never happens which we apologized for profusely. Usually you shouldn’t give a 3 star when your stay was very nice.

They've been putting in new fiber optics so the wifi has been really sketchy- so sorry this was an inconvenience. We do have a sign in the lobby stating this and that it is out of our control.
The Caden Hotel offers its guests a golf course. WiFi is free in public spaces. Self parking is free. This Vernonia motel is smoke free.
