The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. My husband uses a walker so they put us in a suite so we could get to it and in to it easier. The suite is like a small apartment complete with small kitchen. Two separate bedrooms

This hotel was honestly a hit. I booked a regular queen room and when I got to our room, they upgraded us to a suite! The staff upfront was so amazing and so helpful. I felt as if I were home. The room was clean, the room felt very cozy. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, pots and pans. Everything you need. They even stocked on 2 orange juices, oatmeal, and coffee. The only down part was when they cleaned our room daily, I felt the cleanliness was rushed. The bed wasn’t made right and they didn’t stock us up with towels but honestly besides that, I would recommend family and friends to stay here. Another plus is, it’s literally down the street from the amazing Japanese And Rose garden!

My stay

It was a huge disappointment. There was construction everywhere. The walls are paper-thin so noise was coming from upstairs and either side of me all the time. The bed was uncomfortable it was much like a Murphy bed. The bathroom was small and cramped with no space for anything. The air conditioner was loud and noisy. I did not feel safe there. However, the staff was wonderful. They couldn't have been better. It was my own fault for booking there.

Pleasant 13 minute walk to downtown office.

Pros: location
Cons: keep floors clean
Location: great location
The bedroom TV was not working and did not get fixed but they did credit me some compensation at checkout which was very good of them to do. Responsible management. This is a very nice hotel for extended stay and considerably cheaper than airbnb in the same area. I would stay there again.

Hello Jeremy, I want to thank you for staying with us but also apologize that your TV was not fixed in a timely manner. That is unacceptable. We aim to ensure our guests are happy and that any requests, especially maintenance ones, are responded to and taken care of in a timely fashion. I am glad we were at least able to help a little at checkout. I will pass along the floor situation to our housekeeping staff. We hope you come see us again! Safe travels out there!

Great location

Pros: Location.
Cons: More quiet fans.
An average motel room, but a terrific location -- within walking distance (1/2 mile uphill) of the Rose Garden, Japanese Garden and upscale strip mall) and one mile to Old Town Portland (if you don't mind the hobumeless population, some quirky places like Voodoo Donuts and Old Town Brewing and Pizza). Room was nice, but no tub, shower only, and very loud exhaust fan in bathroom. Had to keep A/C on all the time to cool room, even though weather wasn't warm. Staff very friendly.

Close to a lot of amenities.

A bit pricey for how simple and small the room was. I guess you're paying for location.

beautiful location

Pros: The location was ideal for my trip for an art class and I felt comfortable as a woman alone.
Cons: I hope they don't make any improvements, I prefer to stay places that feel like they have been part of a community for years, not on hotel row.
The hotel is located close to downtown among lovely homes and gardens. I felt safe and enjoyed walking in the area. Great oatmeal for breakfast and helpful staff, I appreciate their use of local products and ecofriendly attitude; quintessentially Portland in my opinion.
