The stay is centrally located in a center city neighborhood minutes away from downtown, MTS Center, The Forks, and the major hospitals of HSC, St B&Children's Hospital. Whether you find yourself in Winnipeg for medical appointments, passing through Manitoba, on a vacation, or taking in a hockey game or concert; we are a perfect place for a family or group on a budget.
This is a Duplex house with two units, main floor and 2nd floor. Each unit has a 3 bedroom 1 bath, kitchen, livingroom and laundry. Each unit is almost identical layout. Each unit has its own entrance and you will have the entire suite to yourself - the main floor. There is also a shared large deck with a BBQ available for your use, comfortable deck furniture and picnic tables.
There is also parking for 3 in the back. I have owned the house for 6 years and have not had any issues with my vehicles, just so you are aware, it is outside parking in a city center neighborhood so it is best to lock your doors and keep any valuables out of sight.
The neighborhood may not be the prettiest but is one of the oldest in Winnipeg, city center, full of history, families, charm and culture. It can be busy with people and traffic as we are just a couple house off the main road. It can also be noisy at times as we are on the ambulance and fire truck route but the neighbors are lovely, all nice working families. The house is a character home restored and tastefully decorated. Has original hardwood floors just restored which can be squeaky in a few places - thats part of the character and charm. The livingroom has original crown mouldings and decorative inset ceiling mouldings. I hope you enjoy your stay. A lot of care has gone into restoring the charm of this 1950's north end home. Enjoy!
You have the entire main floor suite to yourself. There is a large shared deck in the back, 32x20 feet. There is BBQ and comfortable deck furniture and picnic tables for adults and children available for use between the main floor and 2nd floor suites.
Please note:
There is absolutely no smoking, vaping or marijuana or other drug use in the suites.
There will be a $250 cleaning fee if the suites are left smelling of smoke, marijuana or other drugs. Please use the outside decks for this purpose - Front porch deck or the back deck.
Please throw your butts out in the cans provided.
There is no parties allowed. Your reservation will immediately be cancelled if there are parties or noise complaints from the neighbors.
We do not allow pets. if pets are brought against the rules an immediate $250 cleaning fee will be billed.
FYI- this is the main floor unit of an upper and main level duplex. both units are airbnb's. We ask you to be mindful of your neighbors, both upstairs or main floor. Shouting, partying, rough housing or excessive noise will not be tolerated... especially between the hours of 11pm and 7am. Normal living is expected. I'm not your mother and there is no curfew, we just ask you to be respectful that there may be another guest in the suite above or below you.
