Luxury Penthouse Beachfront Condo with Private Rooftop

Nikte condos are right on the beach in the small fishing town of Akumal. Beautiful, panoramic views of the beach and crystal clear water of Half Moon Bay and the surrounding luscious tropical jungle. This quaint town has a lot to offer with it's local restaurants and boutiques, and the amazing snorkeling on the reef in Half Moon Bay and the opportunity to swim with natural sea turtles in Akumal Bay. This 3 bedroom 4th floor penthouse is one of just a few available for rent in such a unique location.

The setting is perfect, just a short distance away are local, favorite restaurants such as La Lunita or La Buena Vida. Also close by is Yal ku Lagoon - a unique experience for snorkeling where fresh and salt waters mix. Steps out your door is a beach side pool with palapas and beach chairs. At night, make your way up to the rooftop patio, with the ease of the elevator, and see the wonderful view of the stars without all of the light pollution of the cities.

This 4th floor, 3 bedroom beachfront is an incredibly luxurious penthouse. For those lucky enough to rent this unit..... paradise awaits..... The balcony has an outdoor dining table with seating for 6, and a portable speaker to enjoy, with privacy and beautiful views of the ocean.

There is also a private rooftop bar, shower, toilet and lounging area - perfect for amazing views and relaxation.

Central A/C with 4 thermostats to regulate temperatures in each room of the condo. The kitchen features granite counters, with high end appliances including a 6 burner gas range, a French door refrigerator, a microwave, and an oven. With WiFi connectivity throughout the condo and a smart 50" TV with soundbar in the living room, relaxing on the cozy couch after a long day at the beach is easy.

The master bedroom has a king size bed, ocean views, en suite bathroom, and black out, roll up blinds so you can sleep in past sunrise. Guests in the 2nd master suite will enjoy a king size bed with large built-in wardrobe, en suite bathroom, and views of the tropical jungle and warm orange sunsets to end each day from its own private balcony. The third bedroom is furnished with 2 queen size beds and has a jungle side terrace. The unit also offers a washer and dryer for your convenience.

The condo is fantastic. It is even better in person than what shows in the pictures. The place is well stocked with all you need to make the stay very welcoming. From a full stocked kitchen to excellent quality linens and very comfortable beds, it was a real pleasure to stay here. The shared pool is great, as is the private rooftop cool jacuzzi for a late afternoon dip. Thee property mgmt company was extremely responsive for anything we needed including more drinking water. And Finally host Michele was awesome. Always with a quick reply to any questions we had, and she was able to give us a couple extra hours on checkout as the next arrival wasn’t coming for a couple of days. Highly recommend the place.

This beautiful condo in stunning Half Moon Bay of Akumal was an exceptional home base for a vacation in the Riviera Maya. The condo had everything we needed and more. Breakfast at the Jungle Cafe and dinner at the La Buena Vida were great, and the convenience store across the street filled the gaps. The host was very helpful in making suggestions for trip planning, and connecting us with the management company which is right across the street from the condo. All of the staff were helpful and welcoming.

Lovely week in akumal

The condo is beautiful and spacious, with lovely view of the bay. It worked well for our group of 3 65 yr olds. The owner and the property manager were very helpful. Great location for walking to restaurants. Downside was broken elevator-3 flights of stairs was alot. Also seasonal high winds and seaweed on beach -which resolved our last day

Beautiful penthouse condo on Halfmoon Bay

Had the opportunity to spend a week in Akumal in Michele’s lovely condo on Half Moon Bay. The condo was spacious and clean. It had everything one would need for a relaxing vacation. The kitchen was very well equipped. There was lots of snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, and towels. The area nearby was walkable to a small convenience store and a couple of restaurants. We loved La Buena Vida.!

Great condo. Great location. Away from the crowds but close enough to all the necessities. Seaweed on the beach was just staring during the second week of April but not too bad yet. No issues with crime/theft/security at the condo. The pool and private roof top area were awesome!

Wonderful and Spacious condo

We stayed here a week with family. The condo was bright, clean and spacious. Located directly on the beach it was great to walk out for a swim in the pool or the ocean. We snorkeled every day and saw some interesting fish not far from shore. The sunrises from the balcony were very special. We enjoyed the local restaurants and found no need for a vehicle because all were within walking distance. Although there were a couple of hot humid days where a golf cart rental would have been nice. They are available to rent at the entrance to Akumal. The place was well equipped and we often made breakfast in house. There is a great little store across the street for convenience. Would love to return next year!

What a fantastic condo--so incredibly comfortable clean and beautifully maintained. The elevator is a huge added bonus at check-in when hauling both luggage and groceries. I'm loathe to say more as I want to be able to book again next year and I'm positive if word continues to spread about this gem it will be harder to book it!

Beautiful Place

We loved our stay in this penthouse in Akumal! We were in Mexico for a mix of diving and relaxing, and this place was perfect. Everything is as pictured, the property management staff was incredibly helpful and responsive, and it was just a beautiful space to ring in the new year (to the sound of waves crashing and a handful of rogue fireworks, since that's more our speed these days). We loved the rooftop most -- during the day you could get whatever mix of sun and shade you wanted, and at night we sat out and looked at the stars (which were surprisingly bright). You can watch the sun rise over the ocean and then see it set over the jungle, all from the balconies in the condo. All in all, we had a great experience here and would love to stay again.

Loved Akumal condo

We loved the condo! Exactly as pictured. We walked to dinner every night and enjoyed all the restaurants recommended. The best servers and service @ La Lunita. We also ate in Akumal at Tequilaville- excellent ! We saw a cat laying on the steps to the veterinarian clinic in Akumal. I had to stop to pet and visited with the vet, I forget her name. All the cats we saw around were fixed. We made a donation to her clinic for all she does for the street cats. The daily housekeeping was wonderful but we asked to skip it several days so we could just rest. Had an amazing massage a few doors down at hare kishner? ( or similar). It was as much as I pay in Seattle but he was very very good and worth it! I don’t know why I thought it might be less. Anything we needed I what’s app’d the management company and received immediately. As typical in many Mexican places, all tissue went in to garbage can- none in the toilet. The low water flow always made us nervous in the toilets but we didn’t have any problem. The shower pressure was fantastic. We’d highly recommend Michele’s condo. Also, there was coffee, filters, assorted spices, tea and and a big water bottle was supplied and replenished throughout our stay at no charge.

Fabulous 5 star stay

We adored this beautiful home. The owner has really thought of everything from the pretty artwork, upscale and comfortable furnishings, full pantry of spices and condiments to kitchen towels, toilet paper and large bottled water. You want for nothing! Daily cleaning service makes it even better! We look for things like comfy sofa, modern tv, nice balcony furniture this place has it ALL! Netflix, Amazon, Prime all ready to go on the TV. Let’s take a moment to appreciate the views
 jungle from en suite bedrooms 1 and 2 and a truly jaw dropping sea view from living and en suite master bed (plus the all important walk in wardrobe). We will never tire of remembering the incredible views and being lulled to sleep by the waves. The pool is cute and the perfect temperature. We loved all the local restaurants that are in walking distance and the swimming with turtles. Let’s talk about the sargasso. Yes it was present but you can still get easily in the sea, if you walk a little north. It didn’t make any difference to us, we spent every day exploring, local cenotes, Yal Ka lagoon that is walking distance, Chichen Itza temples and ruins and the city of Villadoid. Just amazing. Book this place, it’s something very very special.

Gorgeous views

The perfect spot to catch sunrise over the ocean and sunset over the jungle. We loved our stay and hope to be back. Seaweed was an issue, making the beach in front of the condo unswimmable but fortunately Playa Akumal wasn’t too far. Buena Vida and La Lunita restaurants are close to walk and are fantastic. Roof top patio was a nice touch but we honestly didn’t use it that much. Grateful for the housekeeping each day. Several of the days it was very windy and rough seas so we took the time to adventure to cenotes and ruins. Recommended Akumal Dive Center for scuba lessons. We received an outdated email with the wrong check in instructions so that was a little rough after a very long day of travel but Michele was responsive and the property manager was very helpful.

Lovely condo

The condo is very nice and the rooftop living area was great. The seaweed was very bad even though they had people working everyday to clear it away. This didn't really bother us to much as we spent more time exploring the area during the day. The snorkeling was still great regardless of the seaweed, but you needed to walk to the north end of the bay to get into the water. Also because of the seaweed, we did not use the paddleboards or swim right outside of the condo. Overall, a great trip and a great place to stay. We knew that the seaweed can be bad this time of year so it wasn't a big surprise. Just be aware that it can be smelly and the beach directly behind the condo might not be usable. This area is amazing and I highly recommend this condo regardless of the seaweed. The owner was very responsive and up front about the seaweed as well. It was very clean and having the cleaning folks come everyday was amazing. So much to do and the reef right out back is legit!

Lovely condo, except for the sargassum

This beach front condo was certainly a pleasure to stay at. We had a cleaning service come in every day. The key pick up process was poor. Recommend speaking to someone before you head out. The onboarding instructions are not 100% correct. The condo is spacious and well decorated. The property is beautiful, but the stench of the sargassum on the beach made it impossible to be outside except to run in and out of the car. Obviously a problem on all the beaches in Akumal. Overall, as long as you decide to deal with the smell of the seaweed, this was a very good condo.

Fantastic location and condo

Clean condo with daily housekeeping. Spacious with gorgeous views. Roof deck is wonderful place to hang out. Condo is in a section that has a gate and security guard, so extremely safe. Short walk to shops and restaurants. Kayak and snorkel gear to explore the bay. Seaweed was an issue and unfortunate, so we didnt really use the beach, but you can still get out into the water and enjoy the bay.

Gorgeous condo, very clean and modern. Probably the best rental in the area! Plenty of room for 8 people, 2 families with teens. The private rooftop deck was our favorite space. The management company was extremely helpful on several occasions (Thanks Nan!). We would highly recommend this property!

Perfect Akumal rental for a family

We've stayed at virtually type of property in Akumal over the years--from casitas, to numerous condos, to 6-bedroom houses. This is now definitely our favorite when its us plus the kids. The complex is well maintained, and property management is right across the street (and very helpful). The beach out front and the pool are nice amenities. But this particular unit absolutely shines. The elevator worked perfectly for us to get up and down from the third floor. Going into the unit, it is spacious, well appointed, and very well maintained. Everything worked perfectly. The common area is very large, and the bedrooms (and closets/wardrobes!) are also quite big. All of our typical Akumal complaints--no space to store clothes, lack of towels, furniture being uncomfortable, appliances broken or not working correctly, etc.--were nowhere to be found here. Blackout shades in all bedrooms made it easy for the baby to nap and the kids to sleep in. Every room has its own balcony. Every amenity you could want from an Akumal rental (and then some) was available. The listing didn't make clear, but the fourth floor rooftop patio is EXCLUSIVELY a private space for this unit with additional keys. It is simply gorgeous and an unheard of amenity. This is truly the best place we've stayed out of MANY in the area. And we're already looking at dates to rebook very soon.

Amazing!!!!!

From booking to departure, there were no disappointments. Everything was as described. Both our owner and host immediately got back to us, answering questions or providing the help we needed. The ocean is gorgeous and snorkeling right outside the condo was very fun with rays and lots of different species of fish to see. On windy days the sea weed is in front of the condo, but no worries, most days it's smooth and there is no sea weed. Water shoes recommended as very rocky bottom. We had chef Jose and he made delicious meals in our condo and host Letisha made the arrangements. The housekeepers were both wonderful. We rented bikes for several days as the streets begged to be explored. Within walking distance were plenty restaurants with all good, reasonably priced food. The pool was not heated, but the ocean was warm, so not many people were in the pool. The condo was all good.
