Requested to modify the Expedia booking which was accepted by Expedia as well as Hotel but once we arrived at the reception, the receptionist refused to give us the rooms unless they get the emails from Expedia. that was quite unhelpful specially after a long journey.

Oasis of calm

My favourite hotel in Amsterdam. It's an oasis of calm set back from the road in the lovely residential neighbourhood of De Pjip whicb has plenty good bars, restaurants and cafes. 10 minute taxi or metro ride into the centre.

Two issues which needs attention, the lounge and house keeping. The lounge was hot and not well maintained. Needs someone to clean and top up regularly. House keeping needs also some attention. I had to call for turn down and to provide shampoo and body wash as the forgot to place in the room.

Great hotel just a little removed from the hustle and bustle of the city. If you like quiet and don't mind a longer walk or uber or figuring out local public transit, than this is a 5star property. The service was excellent. They got us last minute tickets for Anne Frank House and a complementary skip the line pass for the Van Gough Museum.
