Ideal for Edinburgh city break

Well located, moments from Haymarket Station and easy walk to Princes St etc also. Staff very welcoming and professional. Wifi good. Coffee good. Good 3 star hotel.

Good room and wifi

Very slow check in, was queuing out the door but once to room was happy. Breakfast bit of a shambles. The guy checking your room number had a poor grasp on the English language meaning customers repeating themselves. Breakfast wasnt the hottest, the room had no direction with people collecting their items from all angles, always seemed to be short of something. Also for a hotel in the capital of Scotland wheres the haggis, the black pudding? I would not book Breakfast again.

A good find

Really nice hotel. Location was brilliant. The bed was very comfortable. Great to have a bath. Shower was good. But pricey but i would stay here again.

The hotel is lovely. Staff are really helpful. Unfortunately they put us in Rm 336 which was next to a service room which was so noisy (disturbed us from napping in afternoon before we went out and again from 7am next morning) Would recommend hotel but check to ensure not next to service room.

Expected better

As we arrived early, our case was kept safe until our room was ready, and we went out for the afternoon. Checking in to the hotel later, we entered our room to find the netting had dirty marks on them and there was a dirty mark on the pillow case. The pillowcase was changed but there were no replacement nets. A different room was offered, but we were tired by this point so declined. There was a fridge in the room which was handy, and the bed was fairly comfortable. The TV had freeview channels, but disappointingly wasn't a smart TV so we weren't able to watch a film after a busy day - I would have expected a modern smart TV for the price. On the last night, and the following morning, the air-conditioning was not working, which was disappointing as when I rang reception, I was told it would be dealt with but it wasn't. The breakfast was satisfactory with some lovely pastries. I would have expected a better experience for the price, so I won't visit again.

There was some mold on the grout in the bathroom. And a stain on the carpet next to the bed. Those were the only downsides to our experience at this hotel. The staff was truly a pleasure and attentive. The breakfast options were nice. I only wish the fruit would change every couple of days. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Location is good for local transportation system. Room as standard and clean, good teas selection and coffee pods available. Cooked breakfast choices is poor, continental breakfast was ok. Staffs at Bar/ restaurant seems don’t know how to settle the bills when we put money in advance for our room

Convenient location near the train station and walkable into the centre of town. Room was lovely, comfortable beds and couldn't hear other guests. Breakfast had great options and the whole place was very clean, with super friendly staff. Only disappointments were the bar was poorly stocked and didn't have a number of things that were on the drinks list. Parking is also £10 a night.
