Host was welcoming, instructions getting to the property were not the most clear and the lock box was very finicky. Once inside, the property was much smaller than the pictures made it seem and quite dated. The beds weren’t the greatest and the property remains very cold constantly even when the heat is running. The location is great but you’ll hear a ton of chatter from people passing by through the night making it hard to sleep through.

Location, Location, Location! Literally at the stairs to Edinburgh Castle. Nice living room with views of the castle and historic building across the street. Easy walk 1 min walk to the Royal Mile and very central to anything in Edinburgh. Note the hostel across the street will hold your bags for a small fee if you arrive early.

The heat and water pressure was good. Bathroom door doesn’t close. No working coffee machine. Beds are un comfortable. Refrigerator drips water inside soaking everything inside. The apartment needs competent and regular maintenance.

Great location, was noisy. Disappointed only gave us one towel each for 4 nights, and wanted a fee for more. Let them know coffee machine not working no filter and nothing was done. Very roomy - had everything we needed - average. No washing machine which was disappointing- one room the shutters don’t close properly.

Property was clean & had all the basics. Stair noise to castle was a little rowdy Friday night with some singing & laughing in the wee hours. But nothing the owners could have done, we had a laugh & were able to go back to sleep. The location was great & communication was top notch.

Perfect

The location is perfect. We were able to walk everywhere. Victoria Street, Edinburgh Castle, Arthur's seat...too many beautiful locations to name were right there. We also walked to the bus station to catch a tour outside of the city. The apartment was perfect for us. I'd imagine it could be noisy in the busier seasons but it wasn't too noisy for us. Worked out perfectly. I wanted to stay permanently but unfortunately I had to get back to my normal boring life in the US. I hope to get back to Scotland someday and stay in this same place again.

Great place!

We would definitely stay here again. The view of the castle from the bedroom windows is phenomenal! It’s so close to Victoria street and a bunch of food! We loved it. FYI the property manager contacts you via email not through VRBO. So look out for that!

No washing machine

The listing indicated that the property had a washing machine which is why we picked the flat. When we arrived we found out that the washing machine no longer worked :(
