Decent heat only in morning; too cold to take evening shower and had to sleep in sweatshirt. Reception staff too busy with airline crew check-ins to ever answer phone. I think airline crews are their main customers, and they don't have time to deal with one-time visitors If you want a question answered in evening -- like how to find an English-speaking TV program -- you have to wait in line behind check-ins to get an answer. I didn't bother. No answer from housekeeping either, when they forgot to leave coffee pods in my room, or leave soap by bathroom sink (only two bottles of shampoo). Reception said they'd get the coffee for me, but it never happened. I couldn't get internet to work either, but that might have been because I didn't agree to sign up for their hotel membership program. Room was small, but on the plus side,clean, and nice swimming pool, but too busy in evening for me to use. Free round-the-clock shuttle to airport was also a plus. All in all, however, one of my least pleasant hotel experiences in a long time.

I was very disappointed with my stay at the Steigenberger Airport Hotel Frankfurt due to repeated issues with room condition and cleanliness. Upon arrival, our first room had a dirty napkin and chewing gum on the bathroom floor, only one towel despite a reservation for two guests, and a shower drain that did not work properly. After reporting this, we were moved to another room. Unfortunately, the second room also had serious problems: the complimentary water bottle was already opened and partially consumed, the heater did not work, and the bathroom door could not be properly closed. Experiencing basic hygiene and maintenance issues again after a room change was particularly frustrating.

The check in was the worst I have had in over 5 years of staying at this property. On this occasion I was told there was a €50 early check in fee or I would have wait until 15:00 for a regular check in. By 12:30 a manager finally checked me in saying the room I booked was not ready earlier. I was not offered an upgrade and had to ask for the €10 voucher. In the room the shower flooded the bathroom due to a clogged drain. I had to wait for both maintenance to come fix the drain and house keeping to clean up the flood. Another hour wasted for me and no offer of any compensation. I have always enjoyed this hotel but after this experience will never return to it.
