This is place is so very quaint and comfortable, it put a smile on my face from the moment I walked in. The staff are super helpful. There are lovely seating areas to meet friends or eat my own lunch. The rooms are well-appointed and beautifully decorated. It's close to everything a tourist would want to see in downtown Halifax. The Halliburton was perfect for my needs. I highly recommend it. Only drawback would be for those who are mobility-challenged, since there are several flights of stairs to walk up and down, no elevator.

I usually stay in hotels when I'm in the city, so this property was such a refreshing change! It is historically charming - and wonderfully quiet. With convenient parking and friendly service, I highly recommend staying here. The only drawback I could see for this property is that it's not accessible for everyone.

We loved this property! Firstly, the staff were welcoming, friendly and approachable. They explained everything we needed to know, including how to access the parking and then the room. While people comment that the room was dated, "get over it". It's a beautiful historic building. We enjoyed being able to walk everywhere. It's so close to the beautiful waterfront, farmers market, brewery market, library, restaurants and pubs. Get your morning coffee and bagel at the "Wired Monk" right on the corner. Nice quaint Inn/hotel. I got a single occupancy room and it was very clean and quiet. The parking is also a plus. Only draw back is that there is no elevator, but if you need help with your baggage, someone is available to help.
