"I don’t even know where to begin with how disappointing our experience was at InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown. This hotel promotes itself as a five star property, but the service we received was far below that standard. The layout alone is incredibly inconvenient. Every time we needed the elevator, we faced long lines and ended up waiting around 15 minutes just to go up or down. Something as simple as getting to the lobby or back to the room became frustrating and time consuming. Room service was even worse. We ordered dinner and were told 45 minutes, but it took over two hours to arrive with no updates. The next morning, we ordered breakfast early and were told it would take about two hours. We made it very clear that my fiancé has a severe allergy to cheese and requested none on the burritos. When the food arrived, it was covered in cheese and the side of bacon we ordered was missing. It then took multiple calls just to have the food picked up, and we were told a manager would contact us. No one ever did. Even after checkout, we received no follow up. Overall, this was an extremely frustrating experience with poor communication, lack of attention to detail, and no accountability. We left feeling disappointed and would not return."

"I recently spent two nights at The Moxy in DTLA and really enjoyed it. The design is very chic and modern and the staff are very friendly. The room itself was well-appointed, but not designed for long-term stays. There was no closet, no refrigerator, and very limited counter space or other surfaces on which to put things. The view from the 24th floor was impressive and Christina at the front desk was very professional and courteous. "

"We love everything about this hotel. The beds were amazing and sheets were clean. Love the bar down stairs. They also have a revolving bar but one MUST get drinks in order to sit there to enjoy the view. The sad part was the pool closing at 7PM which is way too early. The only disappointment was the spa. We got some complimentary LED treatments but no one was there for at least 20-30 mins. "
