Great location, friendly staff, and clean room.

The hotel was right across the street from a nice shopping center that had restaurants, Whole Foods Market and a T-Mobile store where I could buy a new battery charger. The room was clean. The staff was very friendly. The only thing I’m gonna make sure of next time is that I don’t get a handicap accessible room. Trying to take a shower was a real challenge. I’m glad they have these types of rooms for those who need it, but every time I took a shower water went all over the whole bathroom and I spent half an hour trying to mop up the floor after my shower. Other than that, it was a very nice room.

This place is really nice, and affordable. The jetted tub is a nice feature. My only complaint is the bed was fairly hard. Not good on my arthritic hips. Otherwise a wonderful place.

The front desk was unresponsive, the pictures on the website make you think you’re booking a different hotel. I made a noise complaint and not one employee came to handle the problem. I stayed here for my anniversary and felt genuinely embarrassed when my wife and I pulled up. I do not recommend this hotel

Just for value

Staff was nice. Rooms felt dirty. Couches stained. Towels had stains on them. Bathrooms has mold on edges. Pillows and bed were too firm. Our floor also had a skylight which sounds nice in theory, but there was no way to black out the room. Good location and easy access to Sand City, downtown Monterey, and Carmel. Wouldn't stay here again though,

Clean , fresh and comfortable. We got a room with a skylight so that made it a little uncomfortable in the morning to sleep in. The breakfast was very simple was expecting a little more variety. Other than that, the room was very clean smelled clean and bed was very comfortable. Enjoyed using the bath robes and provided slippers to walk around in the room. We would stay here again.

Great long weekend in Monterey.

Amazing long weekend staying at Mariposa Inn & Suites. Check in was easy and quick. Rooms are very comfortable and roomy. Safe parking on the premises. Provided self service breakfast with is a big plus. This time we didn’t make use of the pool and hot-tub as we had a busy schedule. The location is excellent: 10 minutes away from downtown Monterey, 15 minutes from Carmel, Del Monte shopping center across the street… And, despite being close to busy streets, no road noise could be heard in our rooms. Dog friendly hotel!

Yes, But…

Check in on Friday around 4 pm was deplorable. The woman never looked up, when responding to a question, never smiled, shoved paper in our direction., looked annoyed. The rest of our stay was fabulous, the night attendant was kind, polite, helpful. The room was spacious, the pool and hot tub clean and welcoming.
