A pleasant hotel in a good location. The lift was a little bit shaky - doors opening beforecit has fully stopped. Restaurant could do much better - service was not great. Reception staff efficient and helpful.

Here’s a polished, warm, 5-star rewrite of your review: ⸻ 5 Stars – A True Old Montreal Gem I can’t recommend this charming hotel enough—it perfectly matches the cozy, historic vibe of Old Montreal while still offering all the modern comforts. The rooms are beautiful, with exposed stone walls and steel beams that give it so much character. The beds are incredibly soft, and the shower feels downright luxurious. If I had to point out one downside, it would be the old-school elevator—but as a New Yorker, I figured it wouldn’t hurt me to slow down for once! The staff was amazing: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish. Gaspar, the onsite restaurant, was fantastic as well. The location couldn’t be better. We walked to great restaurants, the market, Bota Bota spa, and grabbed a quick Uber to the Christmas Village artisan market. We enjoyed an unforgettable steak dinner right across the street at Vieux Port Steakhouse, and loved our meal at Gaspar too. The receptionist also recommended Montreal Poutine—another perfect pick. An all-around wonderful stay. I’d come back in a heartbeat!

We love the feel of this hotel. Its location is great if you plan to walk in Old Montréal. The two restaurants provide excellent options and there are many others nearby. The winding hallway was a pleasure to navigate each day. And the staff are superb.
