Big Vista is a brand-new comfortable vacation studio suite. Big Vista has one of the best views on Vancouver Island. Guests will enjoy views of more than 100 km of coastline across the Salish Sea. Big Vista offers guests a private vacation home.

Big Vista has a well equipped kitchenette with quartz countertops and quality cabinetry. The views from the suite are spectacular. It has a spacious bathroom with a walk in shower with quality finishings. The Big Vista patio has spectacular sunrise views and amazing year round sunsets. A private BBQ is provided for guests. The Big Vista suite offers books and games for your enjoyment.

Big Vista offers a queen bed with freshly pressed quality linens and duvets for a luxurious sleeping experience. Fleecy robes are provided for the comfort of the guests.

Big Vista has a private entrance down 2 flights of outside stairs. Guests are encouraged to explore the large terraced garden and to enjoy the beautiful landscaping. Big Vista is located in a quiet neighbourhood and offers a peaceful, relaxing vacation. Beaches and trails are nearby, sea lions and whales are often seen swimming past, and the eagles are frequently found in the trees. Guests enjoy relaxing and enjoying the cruise ship views of the ocean. Big Vista offers a comfortable vacation experience for visitors to Vancouver Island and Nanaimo.

Big Vista is a multi-generational home. The Big Vista suite is independent and private. Guests may encounter children and an elderly Golden Labrador. She is a very friendly quiet dog who spends most of her time sleeping.

We do not welcome other pets at Big Vista.

Big Vista is a cleaned, disinfected and sanitized property. The suite is completely independent from the rest of the house.

The property is amazing with spectacular views and gracious hosts. My family and I were lucky enough to see whales, eagles, dear and bunnies from the comfort of the living room window. Debby and John are both amazing hosts happy to assist with information about the area and any other inquiries we had. The location is close to everything you’d need and yet very quiet and peaceful. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get away for a great trip to Nanaimo.

Immaculate Studio with Spectacular Views

This is the perfect studio with an amazing 180 degree view of the Strait of Georgia and mainland British Columbia. The interior is very nicely designed. The views are just unbelievable. We found ourselves content a couple days to just sit in front of the picture windows and watch the whales and eagles. Debby and John were great hosts. We would not hesitate at all to stay here again.

Beautiful mountain getaway

I had a fantastic time staying here! The views were breathtaking/stunning with access to multiple viewpoints inside/outside and so much wildlife to see (ex whales, sea lions, eagles). It was very close to easily accessible walking trails. The unit was very well equipped and had everything you would need to feel at home and very clean. The host was very friendly and welcoming and knowledgeable to share about the surrounding area/wildlife. Thank you for a wonderful peaceful stay!

Gorgeous suite with a fabulous view

This is our second stay at this property. The location and the view across the Strait of Georgia to the mainland are superb. Eagles soar by a wall of windows facing north, south and east. A fully-equipped kitchen with cherry wood cabinets and granite countertops, spacious bathroom with storage shelves for your belongings plus a washer/dryer, and a comfortable studio living room complete with fireplace and cherry wood flooring provide for a restful, luxury home-away-from-home.

Magnificent Ocean View and Gorgeous Suite

We loved our stay at Debby and John's suite. They are amazing hosts, responsive, so friendly, informative. The unit was thoughtfully furnished with everything covered. BIG VISTA - BEST VRBO!

You will want for nothing during you stay at Big Vista! Debby and John are the best hosts we have ever encountered and their stunning Vrbo rental, with its gorgeous views, is our favourite of the many we have stayed at. This was our fourth year staying at Big Vista and we are already looking forward to returning next year!!

Lovely time in Nanaimo

This property is everything it is advertised. The room is comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked with dishes and then there is the view. We were there 10 days of which we spent two entire days looking out at the Strait of Georgia and relaxed. Our hosts told us that was not unusual. Our hosts Debby and John were super friendly and gave us lots useful information such as when whales were out as well as local trails and parks that were good for limited mobility walkers. We would definately come back here and may do so next year.

Awesome place, such a cool area. We visited Tofino, great ride. The views at the house are spectacular. We watched two Bald eagles eating dinner right in front of us! Super comfortable stay, we will be back.

Perfect in EVERY way!

Right from the moment we arrived, it was clear it was the perfect place! The hosts were amazingly welcoming and very easy to reach when needed. The space was spotless and abundantly equipped (I mean everything you could ever want was included at this beautiful place! Everything - even binoculars so you could watch for whales and bald eagles out the huge panoramic windows!!) The view was breathtaking - even better than expected! This truly felt like "home away from home"! I HIGHLY recommend this wonderful place and if we are ever back in the area, there is no question where we will stay! Best views on Vancouver Island

We had a great stay here. The place was so nice we had a hard time leaving even when we left for day trips to Nanaimo and Cathedral Grove. Saw whales and and assortment of wild life from the flat. Enjoyed the sunsets from the deck.

What a view
