I really liked the sea theme. It's a pretty old building and there a few things that could be fixed like the windows. The garden outside was wonderful to look at but definitely needs some TLC. Shower curtain needs washing. Overall though, I enjoyed my stay and staff were excellent.

Great staff

Excellent customer service, comfortable beds, very clean room. It is on a busy route, so there is road noise if the windows are open. I would recommend ear plugs. I would definitely come back.

Good location. Clean and lots of space.

The Buccaneer Inn is located conveniently near the harbour in Nanaimo. We were very surprised by the large amount of space - a bedroom with a king bed and a pleasant and clean bathroom. But the standout was a very nice 'living room' complete with a fireplace, and a kitchen with a fridge, microwave and full stove/oven! The place was nice and clean with good quality toiletries. And the price was very reasonable.

This was a very comfortable motel close to the ferry in Nanaimo. Our heater wasn’t working and management provided a portable unit until they could repair it the following day. Most appreciated. We enjoyed the separate sitting area with tv and cooking facility, although we didn’t do any cooking. We would most definitely stay again.

Located within a few minutes drive from Departure Bay Ferry Terminal, this was perfect for our overnight stay before heading onwards. The hotel room was clean and spacious with very good amenities (eg. small kitchen area including stove, microwave and fridge) for the price. Thanks to the friendly staff for the easy check-in and check-out!
