Employees were great. Parking is a few blocks away but very secure. Room was available early. Garden 1st floor room was a perfect location only issue was smoking in the courtyard. Amenities are ice machine, vending machine and coffee in the lobby. Cute breakfast place across the street. Room had two chairs a table a dresser and a comfy queen bed. Sink was outside the bathroom. AC worked well. Towels were nice and changed out each day. Mini fridge worked well and was quiet. Short walk to Frenchmen and Bourbon St.
Hotel smell like roach spray.Wife was getting sick, had to relocate. No Parking available, move to another hotel that was more comfortable, valet parking was available.Had a restaurant with great food and service connected next door.Left keys on the front desk.If the hotel manager had any morales, since the room was not used, she would not go thu with the payment.
Location was excellent and very easily walkable to the busy areas, yet quiet and relaxed at the hotel. Parking worked out for us, but do not count on having it available - very few spots. Rooms are not accessible for anyone that cannot do steps (our room in a back corner of second floor required steps even with elevator use). Room was large and plenty comfy. The bathroom was very good, with a very deep tub. Loved the hotel overall!
We had a lovely stay at this historic hotel! Having the name - House of the Rising Sun - added to the mystique. We did not encounter any ghosts (which i am OK with! :-)
If we ever return to Nola we will stay here again!
Wonderful hotel! We stayed with two of our adult children and loved it! It falls perfectly between the French Market and Bourbon street. There's so much history there. It's small, since it was built in the 1800's. If you're looking to stay in an authentic New Orleans home, this is it. If you are looking for a modern hotel, this one is not for you. We will definitely be back!
The hotel itself was very nice. Everything was clean and the service was great. I really liked the decor and vibe the old building has. Parking is limited so i had to park on the street, where my tesla recorded a grown man defacating next to my car, but honestly that could have happened anywhere in nola. Other than that 10/10 would stay there again!
Perfect location for our 2 night stay in NOLA.
Whilst the room was on the small side it had everything we needed for our stay. Close to restaurants, shopping and Bourbon St. would definitely stay here again.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Super adorable old building. Rooms are pretty small, but I ended up just getting two (4 people total) and we were incredibly comfortable. I was surprised how quiet the street was, expecting loud drunk Mardi Gras noises street being so close to Bourbon. Great affordable hotel. Will return for sure
For myself and my party, we had an excellent stay. The staff was relaxed and extremely helpful when I needed to park my rental car for a day. I appreciated the long standing history and spiritual energy all around the neighborhood. For folks with inquiring curious minds and those who appreciate the past and love a cozy room (#303) and a cute balcony view outside your door, the this hotel is for you!

Liked: Cleanliness
My first time staying on the opposite side of the quarter away from canal street. I liked it as it was less crazy yet still offered the charm of the quarter.
We wanted to stay near the French Quarter. Everyone else was close to 2,500 to 5,000 a night. We found this place by accident and it turned out to be 2 blocks from Bourbon and on a quiet street near Jefferson Square. It wasn't new, it wasn't fancy but it was very nice and quiet and comfortable and clean. That's all we want in a hotel room. Clean and safe. Thank You Very Much
Disappointing Experience – False Parking Info & Poor Room Conditions
I booked this hotel specifically because they promised parking, and I even called ahead to confirm they had space for my moving trucks. Upon arrival, I found an extremely small parking lot with no available spots—even for small cars. On top of that, the room was disappointing: outdated, dirty, and the bathroom had black mold around the shower. Definitely not what I expected, and I wouldn’t stay here again.
