The room was clean, the staff was nice, for anything over $100 even though it is conveniently located it far too much. Every single thing is outdated and unkept. There are cracks in the walls, no outlets, small tv, dirty broken windows, dated bathtub, crowded bedroom full of too much junky furniture. I personally will not return. There is nothing boutique about this experience.

The location and appearance was nice. The room was inviting and cute. Check in staff, she was sweet. I asked what was the latest we can check out and she said 11:15. The room could use more blankets. It was cold and we put the temp to 88 but it was still cold. The remote and the buttons on the thermostat were sticky. 11:01 I have someone knocking. I open the door and a man who works front desk was there and said 11:00 was checkout time. I replied that I was told 11:15 and he said that’s when you get another charge. We were already packing up but his attitude was far from courteous. Even when I checked with him to see if I need to sign anything he lacked a friendly personality. I try hotels throughout San Antonio when I want a quick staycation. Never had been. Not sure I’m coming back.

This was in a great location. They arranged parking right next door in a ramp for $25 a day. Front desk helpful. I checked in online with QR code but she didn’t utilize. So I’m not sure why this was sent. Bed and pillows were comfy. Water pressure adequate. It was clean. Some of it a bit beat up but i guess that goes with “historic” Would stay again due to great location and parking situation.

Staff was very good and responsive. Hotel was nice. The HVAC unit in our room just blew air, not warm when we needed it. The control panel didn't respond to any inputs except fan speed. It wouldn't even turn off. We were a bit chilly in the morning. Cleanliness was average.

Location was central to many walkable, unique shops (La Villita) and local, independent dining. Parking was next to the hotel and easy to access: in and out with no limits. The balcony outside the rooms was a pleasant perk. The hotel is not a Victorian B&B but a modern place that is very competitive with the big boys nearby.

This place was ok but what is very off putting is the list of prices of things should you damage or even get makeup on them. For starters the towels have been around as long as the hotel it would seem i assume this is because no one wants to get charged for using them. The place wasnt that clean to be fair new white socks on there carpet came out dirty. This type of thing just puts people on edge i didnt enjoy the hotel at all and would not return
