I did not see the host which was fine. I was surprised and pleased with the thought out items in the kitchen and bathroom. I did not need to bring anything but food really. And the dishwasher was a plus! I would of signed the book but I didnt have a pen, I wished I had at least another day to enjoy the place. Thank YOU!

Absolutely gorgeous. Peaceful. Beautiful view of the Sooke Harbour, Sooke Bay, and the Juan de Fuca Strait, with faded Olympia Mountains in the distance. The sauna was a magnificent bonus, relaxing our muscles after long hikes to wild beaches. Host and hostess were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Comfortable suite with a beautiful view

We stayed at Horizon Hideaway for one week at the beginning of July. The suite is very private, comfortable and well equipped (full kitchen, with good pots/pans/utensils, spices/oil) and with loads of little thoughtful touches (like snacks, enough coffee and tea to last us the week, blankets for cool nights on the two patios). There is a gorgeous view of the inlet and East Sooke from the patio, and we enjoyed our morning coffees and afternoon happy hours there! The hosts have really put a lot of thought into making the space welcoming and comfortable for their guests.
