Cozy waterfront hotel

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet, waterfront view
Cons: old tv
When we arrived at the hotel the staff were very friendly. We asked for a quite room away from the elevators. We were given a waterfront room on the ground floor at the end of the hall. The carpets and bedding were new, but the furniture was out dated and the TV was a very old round screened box model with a distorted picture(I think it belonged in a museum). Otherwise everything else was excellent.

Not worth the money

Cons: Noisy
We booked the room a month ahead of time and got a room beside the elevator.Asked for a new room and got the room beside maids room beside elevator.Very noisy!I would think the more undesireable rooms would be given to last minute guests.Only had 1 bath robe in room???Brought it up at front desk as to make sure we didnt get charged for a missing one and was told room only came with ONE??Had to call front desk for an additional one.Not real happy and do noy think we will return

We felt low class in a High class hotel

Pros: Free Internet
Cons: no breakfast
The room was small, the veiw was amazing. When we looked in the bathtub there was hairs in it, and later in the evening when I went to wash my face I found out there was no faceclothes. The beds were hard, but the beding was nice. The pool was small. Overall the veiw was the only thing we found made the room desirable.

The price was not great value. It was less then 20 from then asking price

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet
I would not maybe class it as 4 but 3. I thought the deal would be better. The people were helpful and friendly. It was a nice walk to downtown.

Simply perfect!

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
I stayed at the Laurel Point with my partner for a couple of nights late August. Everything was simply perfect! The location is ideal, only a 10 minute walk to the Parliament on a nice path with views of the harbour. We stayed there a few times and this this time around we decided to pay a little more for the Erickson Wing and it was totally worth. Huge marble bathroom with 2 sinks, separate shower, and a soaker tub. Large room and big balcony (with lawn chair and table) with stunning view. It was so perfect we ordered dinner in to take advantage of this room the sunset!

great location and I know of how good it was or could be but :1) I was in a rush to book and I don't know if I didn't see that the hotel was being renovated and the grounds around it being dug up. I knew some of it but only found out after I got confirmation. 2) normally this wouldn't be a big deal to me as the "deal" when I clicked on it was good enough. listed at 130ish dollars but when I went to check in, it was 180 or 189. Being christmas and on a schedule of happiness, I didn't want to pursue or argue at that point. BUT, since you asked.... :)

Superb staff. Everyone top notch. Particularly wish to compliment dining room staff, especially manager Frances.. Hotel is undergoing reconstruction of part of building and harbourside park in front is being rehabilitated which hotel needs to make clear to guests as there is some disruption of usual Laurel Point plan.
