Charming downtown hotel

We enjoyed our stay at the Magnolia Hotel and Spa. It’s a charming hotel located conveniently downtown. It’s within walking distance of the Victoria Harbour, museums, and lots of restaurants. Staff is friendly and helpful, and the hotel is clean. We appreciated the nice little touches, like nightly turndown service, bedside chocolates, and the Nespresso machine. The only downsides to the downtown location are expensive parking ($40/night) and people partying loudly in the street during the night.

So close to the harbor and downtown. It was a lovely home base for a solo holiday. The room was comfortable and well stocked. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was so nice to have a soaking tub in the room after the long days of shopping, hiking and exploring. The only way to end my days better would have been if I had packed my epsom salts for the tub.

Staying at The Magnolia is a reminder of what a full service boutique hotel feels like. The level of professional and genuinely caring customer service is shared by all the staff. Each aspect of the guest experience is carefully thought through. We had stayed here some years ago and wanted to return after we both had gone through health issues and were displaced by the Lahaina Maui fire. Thank you Magnolia team for staying true to simplicity, elegance, and exceptional service. Additionally, the rooms are maintained with great attention to detail by the Housekeeping and Engineering Teams. Loved the daily service and the L’occitane toiletries - such a lovely touch. Easy walking distance to local shops and the inner harbor.

Staff was delightful and the location was perfect. Valet parking was nice as well. Only complaint would be the room. It was a bit outdated with the light fixtures and our window looked at a wall. Looking at the fire escape floor plan, we had the only room with a view of a solid wall. This was quite disappointing, since we paid a pretty penny for the accommodation and we never saw the sky.
