We arrived late, around 11:30 p.m., after a frustrating 4-hour ordeal with VRBO canceling our original accommodations. The check-in clerk was incredibly kind, which was a relief after such a long day. Unfortunately, things quickly took a turn. Upon entering our room, I immediately noticed a cockroach on the end table. Although the staff moved us to another room right away, which seemed fine at the time, that initial experience stayed with me throughout the stay. It definitely wasn’t the best introduction. A few smaller issues also added up over the course of our visit. At check-in, I asked about the pool hours and was told it was open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. However, when we went down at 8:15 p.m. the following night, we were told the pool closed at dark. The staff member who gave us this information seemed uninterested, which left us feeling disappointed and confused. Later, I asked a different staff member, who gave the same “closed at dark” answer, so the conflicting information was frustrating. Additionally, the mini-fridge in our room had no barrier between the freezer and the fridge section, causing all of our cans to freeze and, unfortunately, burst open. This led to wasted food and money. Lastly, the area around the waffle makers in the breakfast area was so sticky it was almost comical. It felt like a health and cleanliness concern that shouldn’t have been overlooked. All in all, it was a series of disappointing moments that just kept piling up. While the staff wa

My husband and I booked the room for 1 night for $270/night. Check in was quick and easy and staff were friendly enough. Our over all impression was that the property was a bit run down and could use some refurbishing. Room was layed out well and had all necessary items including a refrigerator and microwave, but the freezer in the fridge was in bad need of defrosting. Bathroom was clean but tub needs reglazed and had a sticky type mat over the dirty area. Overhead bathroom light did not work. Carpet had some places where it was bumping up. Bed was pretty comfortable and pillows were fine... both feather and foam. The AC did make a rattling noise that was a bit hard to block out and when turned off the road noise outside was pretty loud. Breakfast was scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeal packets, yogurt and "make your own" waffles. Elevator could use some TLC. Overall though we felt safe and stay was fine. Just expected a bit more for more than $250/night.

We checked out after our first night because the rooms smelled heavily like chemicals and mold. We noticed that the chemical smell was likely cleaners used on pet urine as there were multiple visible urine stains on walls and the carpet.
