The hotel rooms themselves were 5 star. The service was not and I do not believe we received value for money. Basic things were not provided and when requested took three phone calls and and an hour waiting to receive. We requested room make up service and this wasn’t done when we returned for the afternoon. The pool and spa didn’t seem to be monitored and when I tried to swim there where plenty of people in full clothe attire making it appear dirty and unsatisfactory as ordinary clothes in a swimming pool are not clean. Tea / coffee towels were replenished initially after several phone calls, but the next day were done promptly. I did request a discount to make up for the challenges which was ignored. I requested a late checkout to make up for the challenges and this was granted. The gym has only one running machine which was occupied when I tried to use it. Overall, we paid a considerable amount in USD which would have been appropriate for a 4-5 star hotel but I don’t believe we received 4-5 star service so do not feel like I got value for money. If it had happened at a 2-3 star place, it would have been mildly irritating but expected .

Beautiful lobby, rooms were decent (clean but a bit dated), outdoor pool was lovely, indoor pool was decent (dated and slide was closed every time we went, during hours it was labelled as open), Starbucks was convenient, no continental breakfast (would have been nice), free parking.

Staff was great. The hotel finishes were beautiful. The hotel was expansive. Everything presently nicely… but if you looked closely.. things were dirty in the corners… the Starbucks cooler made a terrible noise… the pool slide wa not open… the place seemed understaffed maybe? So it was fine for us but maybe not a fancy as it presents itself.
