"Your kitchen staff provided the guests with a variety of fresh breakfast options and one bag of complimentary snacks and one bottle of water. The room you provided for me is spacious, bright, clean and quiet. It’s just the two old air conditioners in my room are a bit noisy when they’re cooling. I checked out of your hotel at 11:00 am on May 22nd. Then I went to take a walking tour. At 9:00 pm, I came back to your hotel to pick up my suitcase that I left at your front desk. The front desk staff kept my suitcase for me until 9:00 pm. Your front desk staff are very helpful. Your hotel is located in the center of Ottawa. It only take 15-25 minutes on foot to reach the famous tourist attractions, such as the Parliament Hill, the Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica and the Rideau Canal.I definitely will check in your hotel again for my next vacation. Are you providing a discount price for the frequently repeated guest?"

"Overall a good stay and great value with They were a great value for the Tulip Festival and our room had a great view of the parliament buildings across the river. However, they were understaffed and our rollaway bed was not delivered until nearly midnight."

"Horrible property. The AC was not working and we were not informed about it while booking. The property was covered with dust. It smelled bad and was burning like an oven. The property made me very very uncomfortable, so much so that I was genuinely worried about safety of my wife and kid. The only good thing was the staff at front desk who was terribly sorry that we had such a bad experience. I checked in and immediately checked out and decided to not stay in the property out of the concern for safety of my family. I will not only avoid this property but recommend Hotel.com to remove it from its listing."

"1 out of 5 stars — Disappointing Stay at a Premium Price We stayed at the Andaz Ottawa five nights and unfortunately cannot recommend it. After arriving late due to flight delays, we found our room on a low floor — noisy, freezing (the heat didn’t work), and barely stocked with towels. The front desk promised fixes “tomorrow,” which set the tone for the entire stay. The real low point came on night two: despite being moved to a higher floor after hours of back-and-forth with management, we returned the following evening to find our room completely uncleaned — unmade beds, soiled bathrooms, and dirty dishes exactly where we’d left them. When we called, staff casually explained they were “short-staffed” and couldn’t get to our room. We paid full price to sleep in a dirty room. That is simply not acceptable at any hotel, let alone at a Hyatt/Andaz hotel charging premium rates. To his credit, the manager did offer to waive parking fees, but that gesture fell far short of acknowledging two nights of substandard conditions. The last two nights were fine — room was cleaned, no issues. But the damage was done. A Hyatt hotel at this price point must have systems in place to ensure guests are never left in an uncleaned room without at least a proactive heads-up and a meaningful remedy. We won’t be returning."

"Pros: * Location, you're half a block from a street full of restaurants, parks, and pubs. We walked the 2km to the War Museum, and you can also easily get around. * Sam at the front desk was great. She basically saved the review of this hotel. And the servers at Coopers (breakfast) were also very lovely Cons: * The whole vibe is that the landlord needed to slap paint on the space before the new renter comes in. Everything is just that little bit grubby (and literally they painted over dust). * The room was big, but the bathroom (which should accommodate 4 people) is basically a powder room with a plastic shower attached. There weren't enough towels (presumably b/c there weren't enough spaces to put your towel) and the door didn't fully close or lock. * There was construction on the floor above us, the price was not reflected in having to hear banging before 8am on the Saturday of a long weekend (nor were we warned). Neutral: * They ran out of onsite parking (were not the least bit sorry) but silver lining, if you are there on a weekend, park at the nearby city hall, cost was $12 for two days I wouldn't stay there again, but if you can get a deal it's not terrible - or certainly ask for a room on floor 8+ as that is where the renovations are happening (May 2026)"
