Great view, comfy stay... with a bit of a catch

I had some challenges at first- ie. My GPS sent us to the wrong address/ I didn't realize the company will ask for a $500CAD paypal deposit; and that part was nervewrecking after googling and reading some reviews. HOWEVER, I am throughoutly impressed with how patient and kind our conceirge was once we found her! The apartment itself at first glance was tidy, modern and had a great view of the stampede grounds. Once settled in, you can definitely start seeing all the wear and tear of the property/ furniture. Despite that, the apartment was very comfortable and gave my team and I a great place to rest. I would definitely book again in the future or recommend others to book (as long as the DD doesn't turn them off)

Nice little condo with a full kitchen an washer dryer. Leaving was a bit of a pain because I had to leave the keys and parkade fob in the room but I needed the fob to access the parkade. Had to move my car out of the parkade, park on the street, and go back into the condo to leave the keys and fob. But I would stay here again as it was nicely located and inexpensive and had everything I needed.

Forced to provide ID for all my guests. This is not necessary and very unsafe to have to send in various ID via email. Property was aware that we were arriving late however did not make us aware that we would not be able to access lobby. Therefore locked out at 1130 pm upon arrival. Apartment has stained carpet, broken kitchen faucet, no box spring (mattress basically on floor), broken ice dispenser, dirty drawers, dirty shower, broken deadlock. Bedroom extremely hot. Instructions for arrival were very confusing.

The customer service of this property is brutal. I would suggest you read all reviews prior to booking, 3 days prior to staying at the property I wa advised that a 14 day hold would be placed on the deposit which was doubled due to the Holiday season. They also advised one day before that I needed to provide the deposit via PayPal which I do not use. The business standards are unethical and Expedia has yet to follow up. I strongly suggest you Do Not Book this property. Even after reaching out to the property, I was charged the full amount with no exception.

Absolutely awful! I decided to rent even though I saw some suspicious negative reviews and now I’m being charged $100 for the sink being plugged. Sink was plugged when we got there and drained very slow. Something that they should have known if they are properly inspecting the property. When I disputed the charge they told me to take it up with their finance dept which could be contacted at the same chat? Confusing check in, unsafe neighborhood, hard bed, very few kitchen utensils, 6 hangers for 2 people, uncomfortable furniture…An all-around bad experience! Definitely do not rent from Global Stay!

Check in process felt a little weird with having to send selfies, pictures etc…and a little confusing to get into the building. However the agent I called stayed on the phone with me until I got into the building safely. I see many people with a bad experience regarding deposit refunds. I got my full deposit back in the time frame the contract indicated. If you follow the rules you’ll have no issues getting the deposit refund.

The check-in experience was terrible: I had dead batterry after 24 hour journey from London and the property manager expected me to send a copy of my passport. There is no chek-in staff on site, they expect you to do everything by email. Arriving from a domestic flight would be all good - for international arrivals however that is a big challenge. With a drained battery I had to wait 20mins to charge my phone at the apartment lobby. In addition, the property is not cleaned properly. The bed and pillows smell. Nothing beats a proper international hotel stay.
