I am a local and decided on a staycation. The property is nice and the setting at the bottom of the mountains is beautiful. But I remember the Wallys Hot Springs where the pools were different temperatures with a thermometer telling each pool’s temp. These pools were NOT hot enough and they were all felt the same temp. I do not believe any were over 100 degrees. You know how when you get hot in a hot tub you have to sit out for a minute then get back in? 1. This doesn’t happen in these pools. It’s like tepid bath water that is pleasant, but doesn’t do the trick. It’s more like a warmed swimming pool. I overheard at least three other visitors say the same thing…that the water wasn’t warm enough.

This was one of my worst stays ever! We have been coming here for years, around 10 years now ( multiple times a year) and this was by far the worst. We were given a dirty, rat infested, beat down, disabled 1 bedroom room. I was horrified after finding a dead rat right under my bed !! It was visible that the room has not been taken care of for a long time!

Amazing Villa

This is one of the nicest hotels/villa's I have ever stayed at. Will at check in was amazing and made the check in process so easy. The staff were so nice and accommodating. The views were spectacular and the amenities were wonderful. I even left something in my room after check out and a friend was able to go and get it the next day! I could not have asked for a better place to stay. I will definitely be going back!

Very enjoyable stay!

Very nice stay, pools may need to be better maintained. Staff was very nice especially Brittany. Food was very enjoyable in the restaurant. It can be a long walk from your room to restaurant and pools! Our second stay and will return!

The food at the 1862 restaurant is excellent. The staff is extremely friendly and fun to be around. The room was awesome and huge. We spent time in the mineral hot tubs and they were extremely relaxing. I highly recommend this place.

Excellent vacation

Perfect place to relax. Its very convenient to visit the Lake Tahoe South, North both side.Peaceful and gorgeous view. Well maintained and clean. We stayed 5 days. I just wanted to stay more if I could. I can't describe how much I loved this place. Free parking, specially I love their hot springs, steam sauna.

This place was great, we had the 2 bedroom villa and it was spacious and nice. It had everything you needed. There were multiple pools and the heated pool and hotsprings were great highly recommend

The photos of the property do it no justice. The rooms were clean, nicely arranged, spacious and comfy. The staff was attentive and quick to respond. Above all though the hot springs pools were so serene and healing and relaxing. We will definitely be back. The only criticisms would be that they need to move that trash can next to the trailhead behind the bench. It completely ruins the beauty of sitting there with a big nasty trash can. Also empty that one more often. Aside from that very small criticism I would say that the stay was perfect.
