Everyone was very helpful but sad that they ran out of butter in the restaurant. Why would you run out of an essential daily item?

Great experience! Staff was wonderful! Quick check in and a room was ready early for us. Room was clean, well appointed, beds were very comfortable. Loved the high bathroom, as well as the shampoo and conditioner and shower gel that was provided. We will go back next year. Great stay!

Great Hotel - Would go back.

Pros: Modern Decor
Cons: More Free Amenities - Breakfast?
Location: Within walking distance to ALOT. Upscale shopping mall attached to hotel.
I went to Chicago for the weekend and am very glad I chose the Gwen. Great hotel, great location! Everything was very nice, modern, clean, etc. I had 2 rooms. They were both supposed to be king beds, but since we did check in late (which they were aware of) they were out of king beds, so 1 room ended up being a double. Not a big deal. The rooms were beautiful, the beds were amazing / super comfy! I liked that there was a shopping mall attached to our hotel. Overall A+, the only downside was I got charged an extra one hundred and fifty dollars in "fees" per room at the hotel, for what I have yet to know. I wish I had known that information going in.
